Body | I’ve moved through from Edinburgh for uni. The best way for me to get into town is via bus. However, busses here are a bit different from Edinburgh. A few questions:
1. What’s the deal with there being busses with the same number that end up in wildly different places/very different routes?
2. Is there a way to tell what to say to the driver when getting on? I’ve tried saying the stop, the area (e.g. Mount Florida), I even got a look and a what for saying “town”, so I can’t really tell what they’re looking for.
3. Stood at a stop for best part of half an hour waiting for one of two busses to turn up, despite google maps saying three should have come by. Is it common for busses to “go missing”?
4. Is there an app that people can recommend for planning journeys in advance. I have acute anxiety and adhd so I like to plan my travel the night before. In Edb google maps was very good with busses but in Glasgow it seems to not know the difference between a 17 to Paisley and a 17 to somewhere completely different. I’ve downloaded the first busses app but it doesn’t seem to work half the time
Thanks in advance, very excited to be here! |
