Thinking of moving out to Cumbernauld. Prices of houses seem better and the close proximity to Glasgow is a big plus for traveling out to work but I'm worried about racism in the area. Putting Cumbernauld into search and there seems to be news articles about gang attacks and thugs attacking ethnic minority shopkeepers. I am aware that all places will have good and bad people but just looking for some advice on how safe it would be to stay in Condorrat being an ethnic minority and gay as well...Which makes me a minority within a minority. Been in situations before when I've experienced hostility so want to know if it's an area people generally just keep themselves to themselves or if it's somewhere that trouble comes ur way for being "different". Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks |
