TitleWhat are those two storey metal sheds next to various footpaths in Glasgow?

There's one in the Hamiltonhill Clay pits, then another on that raised footpath in Scotstoun that's surrounded by trees and overlooks the factories on the bank of River Clyde. There's probably another along the Forth and Clyde canal but I'm not 100% sure. They are compact but tall sheds with a triangular roof and kind of look like the Burrow in Harry Potter (horrible reference, I could draw a picture if you'd like). I was always wondering what they were and what their function was?

Also another, unrelated question but I've also noticed a lot of apartment buildings in Glasgow and Paisley have slanted pagoda roofs. Does anyone have any idea if they were designed by a specific architect or what time period they were built in/anything else that would elucidate me? They look really cool and I want to read about them.
