TitleAre the wallabies still on wallaby island? And how do I get there?

I would like to journey to wallaby island. I'm not sure how I would get there. I know there are kayaks or row boats you can hire. Would I be able to hire one of those, take it to the island and leave it somewhere while I wander around?
