TitleWhat to do about large groups of kids in the park?

I’m posting anonymous because let’s face it, as you read this you already think I’m a “Karen”.

For the past week, there’s been a group of kids in the park across from my home. This normally doesn’t bother me, we were all kids once. But it seems to be from the minute the local school closed for the holidays, they’re all gathering directly across from my home in the field. From around 1pm, they start drinking. They have a large speaker blasting their music, which is making working from home really difficult. They start off with a group of 10, but by 9pm, it’s sitting around 50 kids all drinking and shouting. Two nights ago there was a fight between some of the girls, and they ended up separating them. I can’t walk my dog in the park anymore because the music scares him, the running group can’t go through the park anymore because they block our path and jump in front of us, and the mess they leave is unbelievable.

Phoning the police is my absolute last resort here, I don’t want to go over and talk to them. It’s easy to say “go ask them nicely” but I’m a single woman, 5ft 4 and 25 years old, I don’t fancy going up to a massive crowd and asking them to keep the noise down. Honest opinion, should I call the police? Or is this my life now?
