TitleWill the city centre ever recover?

Just walked down Union Street there and even though it's always been a state, I was genuinely shocked at the number of empty shops etc with For Lease signs on it.

I also noticed that the newsagents at the entrance to Central is closed with signs in the window saying it'll be a Blue Lagoon shortly.

Now, the shop that was the newsagents has been sold for...£2 million.

Fuck me! £2 million! Unless there's about to be a monumental crash in commercial property prices, what chance does the city centre have for recovery. How many fish suppers do you need to sell to recoup £2 million?
