TitleWhy does everything close early in Glasgow?
Authorredmagor
Body
I have noticed that many businesses close really early in Glasgow. Most, if not all, major fast foods close at 23:00 or earlier. Restaurants are the same. Nightclubs close at 3:00, no later. Alcohol is not sold anywhere after 22:00. Pubs stop serving at 00:00.

Is this an impression, or is it like that? And if so, why?

In England, there is a lot more diversity of closing times overall, and even in Edinburgh, I have been to nightclubs open until 5:00.
