| Body | Whilst the title is more of a guess than fact, recently the frequency of early morning (midnight and the surrounding time) drivers revving their engines and burning down my street in what sounds like at least 60mph has shot up. My bedroom of my flat backs onto *James st near Bridgeton* and whilst the Orange march fucks me off no end, the racing is actually worse. Last night it sounded like someone was letting off a pistol with the cracks from the car. Then if the lights are red then they sit in neutral with their foot pressed on the accelerator as if petrol prices weren't taking the piss. I've looked at the government website for the "reporting speeding concerns" form but I'm pretty sure this may apply but will not do anything if it's not got a history of endangering pedestrians or similar. The other suggestion from the website is contact the local police to make them aware. I am unsure whether I will be met with a "thank you for your concerns, we will look into it." and hear nothing of it from then on. Ideally there'd be speed bumps installed, but looking at the state of the roads near me I don't think they've considered road maintenance in the area for years. tldr: Drivers revving cars late at night on 30mph road causing me to lose sleep. Any advice on how to stop it? |
