| Body | Does anyone know of a gas engineer who would be able to do a non standard job? Given the current energy prices, I’m gas laid into my currently electricity heated flat. This requires laying a gas pipe from the meter outside, running it along the outside wall to my first floor flat (roughly 10 metres up), installing and connecting a new boiler.
All plumbers I had out so far looked at it, said they would quote and were never heard of again. I can only assume it’s because it’s a non-standard job and they don’t want to deal with it.
Every time a plumber comes out to look at the job, I have to come home from work, which is quite disruptive, only to never hear a word from them again.
So now I’m hoping that maybe someone here has a recommendation of a reliable plumber willing to take on a job like that.
