TitleShawlands Beauty Salon - Am I Stupid To Go Back? (long post)

First of all, the salon is Sara Hair & Beauty in Shawlands next to Pollokshaws East station.

So I'm getting ready for a holiday and thought I'd book a couple of beauty treatments before I go. I've never done this before but thought I'd treat myself.
Decided to get lash extensions and an *ahem* intimate wax (first ever time for both). After looking online I saw that I should book a patch test for the lashes so I mentioned this when I booked my appointment on the phone. No problem, I was booked for my wax today where I'd get a patch test and, all going well, lashes tomorrow.
Here's the thing - the place has a fair amount of bad reviews online, mostly for bad customer service and haircuts.
I went today for my wax (that shit hurts holy fuck) and I get why reviews are not great, I got a pretty stony reception despite making an appointment and when I said what I was there for the 3 ladies looked at each other like they couldn't think of anything worse.
I was also so paranoid about personal hygiene I showered immediately beforehand and they commented on my wet hair like "why is your hair wet" and went on about it enough that I was like SORRY I ASSUMED YOU'D APPRECIATE IF I WASHED and tried to laugh it off but I was starting to feel a bit awkward and unwelcome straight in the door.
Luckily the lady who waxed me turned out to be quite nice when she was doing the wax, although she did say "when I heard it was your first time I didnt want to do it" which was kind of awkward. I mentioned the patch test and she said she'd get her boss when we were done as she's the one that deals with those treatments.
Maybe I'm being sensitive but the boss was a very feminine, good looking woman who obviously is involved in the beauty industry and seems like she is probably always very well put together. I am often not all that well put together (especially today coming off a night shift, no makeup, wet hair) but I don't really mind that and I don't have any negative opinions on being a "girly girl". In fact, booking these treatments was meant to be a way for me to get to feel a bit more feminine myself and give myself a wee confidence boost before going away. I got a strong vibe like I was being judged by this woman for my appearance but again, maybe this is just my own paranoia.
I wasn't sure if I had mentioned WHAT lash treatment I was booked in for as they seemed the whole time that they were oblivious to my booking and kept asking me if I booked online (nope). Because of this I said very casually and conversationally to the lady as she prepared the patch test "is this the glue for the lashes that we are testing?" as I know you need patch tests for tints which they offer as well. She replied immediately and coldly "what did you think it was, the tint?" and I just explained I was making sure I wasn't getting something wrong as I'm new to this.
So basically, should I go through with the lash tint? I'm willing to deal with not very good customer service once if the lashes are decent enough and just book somewhere else next time, and like I said the boss herself had nice makeup/lashes and seems to be the one who would be putting them on me. The thing I worry about is there are lots of bad reviews regarding makeup, no reviews at all on lash treatments and I worry I'm ignoring red flags for convenience's sake. There are some nice looking lashes on their facebook but the photos are from 2018 and it doesn't say who did them, that person might not even still be there.

If you've made it this far thanks for listening to my ramble. Please please let me know if you've heard of anyone getting their lashes done there and how it went. Am I making a mistake choosing to ignore everything because theres a chance I might still get some nice lash
