Title	UofG: stuck finding somewhere to live (post-grad). Looking for advice/help.

Body	Hi all, I'm looking for accommodation in Glasgow for a master's degree starting in September. I've been saving up for four years (working 7 days/week for the last year) to save up the money to do so. The rental market appears in overdrive and the competition on RightMove and Spareroom is utterly insane. I got desperate enough to travel 10 hours by train to Glasgow for two 10-minute house viewings, but have been rejected from those also. Hostels are at least £35/night, and hotels north of £70-100/night at the mo - I can't afford to do it again. As fine Glaswegians yourself, is there any advice or recommendations you might have for accommodation hunting beyond Spareroom, Rightmove, Zoopla and Gumtree? Thanks in advance for your collective help. This knackered Englander really appreciates it.
