Titlewhere to first time buy in glasgow

Hi guys,

I've been living in Glasgow for a year now and I just managed to get a permanent job after a temporary contract - thank god. i'm getting rinsed for rent at the moment and just want my money to not be going down the drain every month, especially with energy prices going up so much :(

I currently rent in Finneston but would quite like to buy in the Southside. I actually work in the outskirts of Edinburgh but am really trying to avoid having to go and live over there because I waaaay prefer Glasgow and only need to go in person twice a week. I probably have around £210,000 to spend max (less would be better) - I'd ideally want a 2 bed place, and at least some kind of option for parking so I can drive over to work.

Where would you recommend? I've been looking Govanhill / Mount Florida way but I don't know so many people that live that way to ask about it. I'm a young woman so would like to safe enough at night and not be too far from the nice places Southside has to offer. Also, if anyone knows any more 'suburb' type towns that still have a bit of life in them and are cheaper than Gla or Edi, let me know. I've been in a weird newbie bubble for the past year so all this stuff passes me by!

Thank you in advance :)
