TitleLiving and doing an apprenticeship in Glasgow

Body
Basically, I'm hoping to do an apprenticship soon, I had planned on doing it in my native Ireland, was only after leaving my old job in hospitality which I'd had enough of and moved back home, but shenanigans got in the way and I'm staying on a mates couch right now, a little stuck for options, thought why not see about doing it elsewhere as Renting over here as an apprentice, isnt quite an easy option unless you know someone who's happy to take about 30% of what they could get, had a quick gander at a few websites to see what rooms usually go for, it seems to cut it very very tight in regards to utility bills, transport and food etc. Decided to ask here if it's in any way possible, to do so in Glasgow, apprenticeship wages aren't exactly anything to write home about as far as I'm concerned it's £4.5 p/h for your first year regardless of age, just want to know if anyone here was ever in a similar situation, would there be more hurdles due to me not being a UK citizen and the likes, any help would be greatly appreciated
