Not sure if anyone remembers.

But [update](https://www.reddit.com/r/glasgow/comments/w2rrog/just_a_warning_for_any_folks_looking_to_rent/) on the rotting damp floor & washer.

They insisted meeting me in person, I had the legislation printed out as well as the email asking for a holding deposit. She insisted that it was still legal (I gave up at this point).

It took them 3 weeks from moving in to replace the washer, had to go back and forth with contractors to find the 'cheapest deal'.

Around week 4 they gave me a dehumidifier and told me to run it and I refused as I'm not paying the money for it to run for weeks on end.

It is week 7 and they have only just begun redoing the entire bathroom. They offered me 10 days in the cheapest airbnb or to sit in with disruption and have no bathroom for 10 days. I didn't trust leaving all my stuff here alone so I stayed. Both options with no rent reduction.

Now, the floor guys & plumbers were great. They replaced the floor within a day, but then the tilers came and did one of the worst jobs and were obviously the lowest bidder. The floor (which just got replaced) is soaked in water, there's grout dripping down the walls, smear marks everywhere. The best part is the bath taps have been put on wonky (maybe a 35 degree angle?) (which I overheard the tiler saying "aw fuck sake man"). several tiles have no grout at all and they're all wonky. The contractors also used my kitchen sink to drain all the grout water mess away while I had plates and a couple sponges in it. Not the end of the world but fuck could you just ask me to take it out

nowhere else to vent

rn im off to have a real nice shower at the gym
