About 10 years ago I was heavily involved in the club scene in Glasgow (still am a little). Everyone was doing pills back then. But now, it seems that every club, pub and gaff party in the city is dominated by this nasty marching powder.
You can feel it in the mood of the late night boozers, there's an arrogance, an aggression in the air. The clothing and the lifestyle, the hairstyles, the teeth, the tans!
I don't think the Scottish Government have quite understood the extent of this issue. Yes we know we have the highest drug deaths in Europe.
Every building site, office and street across the city is plagued with the stuff. What is going on? Why is this happening?
