  • I’m sure the roads aren’t as good as you would like, but it’s a bit daft to say that Glasgow is in a worse state than 10/15 years ago. Especially when you talk about rubbish, do you not remember when every alley between the buildings in the city centre was filled with bins? That was only a few years ago. by 0eckleburg0 (Thu 25th Mar 2021 8:28am)

  • Btw, ‘Dear Green Place’ isn’t a nickname, it’s the just the best guess translation of the original Gaelic/Britonnic name by 0eckleburg0 (Tue 22nd Nov 2022 7:14pm)
  • It’s a best guess, not something we can know for certain. Although we can be pretty sure that the idea of green is in the name in some way. by 0eckleburg0 (Wed 23rd Nov 2022 10:37pm)
  • I don’t rate the place, I just don’t buy that a ‘sustainable and ethical’ supermarket has to sell everything at three or four times the price of normal supermarkets by 0eckleburg0 (Sat 26th Nov 2022 10:56am)

  • Not saying I disagree with your general point, but Glasgow is nowhere near the dirtiest cities in the world, not even just in Europe by 0eckleburg0 (Mon 6th Mar 2023 9:34am)
  • So much of our problems come from car-brain, folk that depend on their cars for every inch of movement and chuck shite out their windows. And folk that don’t live in Glasgow that only come through when using car orientated services. It’s absolutely no coincidence that the worst areas for littering are around retail estates, massive car parks, and motorway verges. by 0eckleburg0 (Tue 7th Mar 2023 6:17pm)
  • Best thing we can do to help the pot hole problem is get as many cars off the roads as possible. Additionally, we’re at the tail end of winter when the roads have been churned up by heavy rain and ice so this tends to be the worst time of year for them. by 0eckleburg0 (Mon 20th Mar 2023 12:41pm)
  • Kelvingrove is a must for you, and why not add a day trip to a distillery and another for some golf at any of the loads of courses near Glasgow? Turnberry is only an hour away and is iconic. by 0eckleburg0 (Tue 4th Apr 2023 9:41am)
