  • I got a ground floor flat in Croftfoot for £1k over the HR value. All I can say is keep on looking and the right property will come. It was a bit of a doer-upper but worth every penny I’ve spent on it (£9k in total) but got it fully rewired, new kitchen and some appliances, along with decor stuff etc. Persistence is key πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ by AH19MED (Tue 1st Jun 2021 10:26pm)

  • Why try and make it sound as if people are looking for relationships geez 🀣 no wonder why we live in a digital era where nobody can make friends once they move away from school, uni, etc. Some people just want to make friends, go for a drink, cinema, exploring, etc, doesn’t have to be anything more. by AH19MED (Sat 31st Jul 2021 12:43pm)

  • Would love to get back into badminton in the new year too… spent about 3-4 months last year playing, then my mate who I used to go with moved to England :/ I also used to rent a court an hr or two a week £9 for the entire court each time by AH19MED (Tue 28th Dec 2021 9:49pm)
  • I think you’re going about it the wrong way tbh… find a school/instructor you’re comfortable with (I got mine of FB 7 years ago) and then you contact them and see what they can offer. They’ll assess you on lesson 1 and sign you up to something like 10 or 20 hours to begin with.. they can’t guesstimate how many hours you’ll need till after the first few I think.. good luck! Also, unless the instructor is particularly bad/horrible, you’ll stick with them till you eventually pass so you’ll be paying for at least 1 session per week till you pass… by AH19MED (Sat 22nd Jan 2022 5:56pm)
  • Probs the first bill that was issued, a modified one is on it’s way! Also, feel free to sign up to an online account, you can view what you owe there/what correspondence has been sent out etc! by AH19MED (Tue 25th Jan 2022 6:34pm)
  • Damn £60 for 2 hours! Is that cos it’s automatic or does he do manual too? by AH19MED (Sun 6th Feb 2022 10:48pm)
  • 6 years+ ago I think it was either £15 or £20 per hour! Glad I decided to do it way back then by AH19MED (Mon 7th Feb 2022 6:48am)
  • I feel for you mate! Almost became homeless as a sold my first flat and wasn’t sure what my next step was… trying to rent in Oct 2020 was more difficult than buying a place, total madness!!! The Government are mostly to blame because they wanted to fuck over landlords with multiple properties from a tax point (no longer allowing them to claim tax relief on mortgage interest) so financially it was no longer viable for many and in turn, they sold up. Also… the lack of supply as per and it’s only getting worse by AH19MED (Wed 9th Mar 2022 6:47pm)

  • Shut it ya gullable cunt by AH19MED (Tue 21st Jun 2022 10:40pm)
  • Hey mate, no not at all. I wouldn’t say it’s overpriced but happy to negotiate so I didn’t want to put the final price straight away. Same spec car with same mileage is selling for £11500 and most are circa £10500, that’s why I have reduced it and happy to negotiate due to the damage. Finance will be cleared before the sale and proof will be given - I didn’t want folk running HPI checks to think I’m running some kind of scam. Totally get the photos - Gumtree only allows 12 pics which isn’t enough really, hence the OneDrive link. Appreciate your feedback though, I may drop the ad a bit but I have an okay price from WBAC but I know for a fact they’ll add £1500 minimum when reselling so I’d rather the car went to a good owner as it’s been well looked after. by AH19MED (Sun 3rd Jul 2022 6:19pm)
  • The Scottish government are driving the entire city centre down into the ground with their anti-car policy amongst other stuff. If public transport was widely available and actually functional, many people would not mind commuting instead of driving, but Scotrail/Abellio and First Bus are shit and in turn it’s fucked over the city centre. Feel it’s going to turn into Gotham over the next few years. Edit: to answer your question, no, it seems to be getting worse every year. by AH19MED (Fri 8th Jul 2022 8:42pm)
  • No need to get offensive. There’s less than 750k people in Glasgow, a city that has the worst fucked up public transport in the UK. It’s why the city centre has died out, a £5 return ticket or even more to sit on a shit bus, what a joke this city is in that aspect. by AH19MED (Fri 8th Jul 2022 9:09pm)
  • It’s cheaper in London btw. by AH19MED (Fri 8th Jul 2022 9:10pm)
  • Within the TfL, it works out pretty cheap. And you’re right, I’m not saying they should be lenient, but when there is literally NO alternative, strikes, no services running, etc., car drivers who actually go into the city centre to spend money (keep the place alive) should not be penalised. Once they’ve fixed the shambles of the public transport situation, then ban cars for all I care. by AH19MED (Fri 8th Jul 2022 9:16pm)
  • You make it sound like London… Glasgow is FULL of cars so not sure what stats you have? Can’t park anywhere in the west end/shawlands/southside easily. Even Buchanan Galleries is full midday over the weekend… by AH19MED (Fri 8th Jul 2022 9:26pm)
  • Cos how dare I criticise anything. Such a shit sub when you can’t even say your opinion without getting heavily downvoted and abuse. I was more than reasonable but seems that’s not good enough lol by AH19MED (Sat 9th Jul 2022 7:18am)
  • Yes I do mate! I only have 3 though. Happy to pass on the whole lot of stuff as it has to be a 2016/2017 model only for both Kia accessories by AH19MED (Mon 11th Jul 2022 9:15am)
  • Hey mate, these are tailor fit Kia Rio ones only I’m afraid… by AH19MED (Mon 11th Jul 2022 9:57am)
  • I always like seeing these types of posts so here’s my 2 cents. 1. owners will always want the market to be mad. 2. purchasers will always want the market to crash/under perform. Reality: Demand will always outstrip supply (not enough new houses are being built) therefore this cycle will remain forever. Even if baseline interest rates hit 3%, it would still be cheaper than renting…. by AH19MED (Mon 11th Jul 2022 10:11am)
  • Disagree with your sentiment but ok. Of course you’d be bothered if your house dropped by 20k or so, why would anyone want to lose money?! Might as well gamble it away then. Lending was different in the past where you could get more debt than you can afford, in today’s world that is not possible (that’s why we are stress tested for mortgages). Also I was talking specifically about Glasgow, so many buyers and not enough property. by AH19MED (Mon 11th Jul 2022 10:23am)
  • I didn’t say I want it mad, but a seller always wants the most they can get for whatever they are selling whether it’s property, cars, possessions, etc. it definitely is a false economy but it’s not caused by me, it’s this system that specifically allows that by AH19MED (Mon 11th Jul 2022 10:39am)
  • πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ every time I post here it continually gets downvoted and I’m talking perfect sense. Essentially Scotland operates as a blind auction and is always in favour of the seller. These people downvoting me are the ones paying 20%+ HR and still raging with me and not the market conditions πŸ˜‚ by AH19MED (Mon 11th Jul 2022 10:37am)
  • Hopefully as it’s driven up everything else. I still feel there are instances where people (myself included) will pay over the odds but for a turn-key ready property only. by AH19MED (Mon 11th Jul 2022 10:55am)

  • It definitely is wires melting! My old electric shower did the same and when the guy opened it, turns out I was minutes away from death… Unfortunately the guy I know only does full rewires but if you download the Nextdoor App and select your area, you’ll be able to find electricians recommended by your neighbours/neighbourhood. Also, please shut the isolation switch off from the board itself by AH19MED (Sun 18th Sep 2022 8:48am)
  • Not entirely accurate, as it stands today net take home would be £3932 and that does not take into account a student loan(s) and pension contributions… so realistically anyone on £70k minus student loan and 10% pension contributions (it’s more tax efficient at that level) is taking home ~£3380 by AH19MED (Mon 10th Oct 2022 12:35pm)
  • That’s only like £300 per month in pension… gotta up that drastically by AH19MED (Mon 10th Oct 2022 2:58pm)
