  • Was able to use enterprise car club (but not their standard rental service) just after getting my licence. The other car sharing schemes required 1 or 2 years. Co wheels was 1 year. by AlexRemd (Wed 19th Jun 2019 9:28pm)
  • Hey! Could you please elaborate on the bed bug problem in Govanhill? I moved there in January - new mattress, new bed, the flat was totally empty when I moved in but keep getting bitten by something although it did not look like bed bugs bike according to the pictures online. It’s more a few bits every so often on my forearms mainly. Can’t figure out what it is. Maybe a spider? by AlexRemd (Sun 25th Aug 2019 9:38pm)
  • Thanks guys will look a bit more into it. Thinking of moving to the west end soon anyway. by AlexRemd (Tue 27th Aug 2019 10:13pm)
  • I have bed bugs. I never though in my life I would have to deal with bed bugs. Looked into it - I can try to get raid of them but looks like it is going to be a temporary thing. I moved in into a new flat with a new bed and new mattress and everything so they were either already here or arrived shortly. Will have a go with special sprays and vacuuming/cleaning everything but best solution might be to leave Govanhill it seems? by AlexRemd (Fri 30th Aug 2019 11:43pm)
  • I’m currently looking for buy a place in the west end. If I see something that clearly has just been redone it kind of puts me off to be honest as I know they are expecting more for something I likely would like to redo myself but now won’t have the cash for. If the kitchen is functional and could leave with it for a while while saving up to redo it, then would be fine with it. by AlexRemd (Fri 30th Aug 2019 11:51pm)
  • Yes, it’s been getting worse everywhere but Glasgow bars and pubs are particularly terrible. I have a decibel reader and it’s pretty much alway above 100 which is actually not safe and every place should provide free earplugs to employees and customers (many don’t have them...). Could not retrieve the original link about this but this gives and idea for workers protection: http://www.hse.gov.uk/noise/regulations.htm by AlexRemd (Wed 16th Oct 2019 10:29pm)
