  • > It’s Abellio that’s been sending ScotRail £1m every month in loans. It’s the Dutch railways thats subsidizing us. Why are they doing that? by BestDifficulty (Sat 28th Sep 2019 3:55pm)
  • No, that's a myth from movies. A myth that has probably done a lot of harm in real life, when you think about it. by BestDifficulty (Sat 22nd Feb 2020 3:59pm)
  • Yeah I used to deliver and that place near the hydro was terrible. Your right green arrow should be a bit higher. I never used the left entrance cause I couldn't park there so it was always a mystery. I would park near the entrance and wait for someone to open their gate on their way in/way out so I could drive in. It was so busy you were never waiting more than a minute. Another terrible one is the flats at the harbour (Lancefield quay?), specifically the ones to the east. Ring intercom to get through glass door, ring intercom for second glass door and now you're in a courtyard. Walk around and try to find the right security door. Ring intercom to get through security door and now for a wee walk to the elevator, you get to floor 7 as you wanted and now for a wee walk to their door where they of course are not ready so give a wee ring at their doorbell. by BestDifficulty (Sun 5th Jul 2020 10:35pm)
  • > The accident was caused by a "fatal deficiency in 'angular stability'" as "an inability to right herself when she heeled over to the port side". Reed said that the problem lay not in any "load placed within her, but the error in the line and proportions of the ship." In other words, the design was flawed. https://www.scotsman.com/whats-on/arts-and-entertainment/sudden-sinking-steamship-2512486 by BestDifficulty (Tue 14th Jul 2020 4:01pm)
