  • Would also like to know this! I know there are things like meet up.com but never used it myself by Bimbibapbop (Wed 21st Dec 2022 11:01pm)
  • There is a woodcraft evening course at Glasgow Clyde college, :) by Bimbibapbop (Thu 22nd Dec 2022 8:28am)
  • There is a website called meet up.com which has a lot of different clubs/groups to join. - also you can try volunteering or maybe trying a new hobby/evening class? There was a post on here yesterday from a guy who was asking a very similar question, have a look at that post for some ideas too. Best of luck to you - don't feel you are alone in feeling the way you do, many adults feel similarly and wish they could meet some new friends. :): by Bimbibapbop (Thu 22nd Dec 2022 8:48am)
  • I have sent you a message but I will put in here in case you don't see it Breathing space is a similar helpline to Samaritans specifically for people in Scotland, their number is 0800838587. They can signpost you to services. They are open at 6pm until 2am. Samaritans (116, 123) will be open now as they are open 24/7. If you are feeling that you may attempt suicide, I would recommend removing the access you have to any methods, e.g. getting rid of meds if it is safe to do so. Is there anyone who could keep you company today? I'm really sorry to read that you are feeling this way. There is support out there that can help you understand and manage these feelings. If you visit your GP, they may be able to prescribe medication and refer to you to a community mental health team, who can provide therapeutic treatment. In addition, there are many charities/third sector organisations which can help with other issues which may be affecting you, such as financial worries etc. The Scottish Association for mental health has a lot of resources on their website - www.samh.org.uk/informationservice. In addition to this, there are many peer support groups where you can speak with others who are going through or have gone through similar experiences. I wish you all the best, and if you want to chat I have sent you a message. by Bimbibapbop (Fri 23rd Dec 2022 11:48am)
