  • Thank you so much for your reply. I mean In a very good way. Like a three bedroom house in Dublin would be going for roughly 420k maybe more. My friend bought her house for 380k in the pandemic in a Dublin Suburb, probably the equivalent of, distance- wise, Bearsden to Glasgow central. Four months later, she got new next door neighbours, that bought the exact same house (3-bed semi detached house) 4 months later for 460k Dublin is INSANE. by Bosco_for_Taoiseach (Wed 21st Sep 2022 11:09pm)
  • Compared to Dublin, they’re actually quite reasonable, to very good value. But now I’m going on the advertised price. But from what folk are saying here, it seems even the HR value is still reasonable. This cash thing tho… this seems very dodge. How can they ask you to fork out the rest cash?? by Bosco_for_Taoiseach (Wed 21st Sep 2022 11:14pm)
  • Thank you all for your replies. It’s great to have this insight. Never knew about the Home Report Value… I’ll most definitely look into these on possible properties. I find the cash thing crazy! How is anyone meant to Get that money in cash!? Is it possible that you hold the minimum deposit back and save more for your “over” money?? For all of those wondering why not buy in Dublin, see below… This is close to the city but not in it. Still about 15 min drive to town.
