  • For a lunch with friends. I know 25 isn't that much but my some of my friends are struggling financially at the moment and don't want to suggest somewhere too expensive. by BrainUpset4545 (Mon 5th Dec 2022 7:32pm)
  • Could try the dental hospital. I think you get a reduced rate there because work is done by trainee dentists. Also, the Albion Clinic. by BrainUpset4545 (Mon 16th Jan 2023 4:15pm)
  • Buses in Glasgow are the most expensive in the UK. "Single fares on privatised First Glasgow are now £2.65, compared to £1.80 on Edinburgh’s publicly-owned Lothian Buses and £1.65 on publicly-controlled." https://www.getglasgowmoving.org/ by BrainUpset4545 (Sat 21st Jan 2023 5:33pm)

  • Commenting because I'd like to know, too. I'd maybe explain what mid-market rent is though because some people might not have heard of it. by BrainUpset4545 (Tue 14th Mar 2023 12:14pm)
  • Unfortunately, none of them are going to reopen. It's terrible. by BrainUpset4545 (Thu 27th Apr 2023 9:35pm)
  • Saw it in an article about Glasgow City Council trying to save money. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.glasgowtimes.co.uk/news/23327125.amp/ "It includes a cut in swimming pool opening hours, not re-opening the health suites in Glasgow Club venues that stayed shut after the pandemic, cutting the Mitchell Library opening hours by six hours a week and charging at peak hours for outdoor tennis courts." by BrainUpset4545 (Fri 28th Apr 2023 5:32pm)
  • Exactly. It's because we don't focus enough on preventative healthcare. Those health suites are places for working class people to go and socialise (avoid loneliness) and relax. Now if you want a sauna you have to pay an extortionate amount for a fancy private gym. Makes me angry because it feels like they're saying working class people don't deserve something "luxurious " in their gyms. They spent millions of pounds adding them to all the gyms and they'll now sit, unused for years to come, until they decide to spend millions more to remove them. by BrainUpset4545 (Fri 28th Apr 2023 5:44pm)
  • I'd say it's probably easier to organise and unionise one restaurant/bar which only has one location than to try to get every branch of Tesco to do the same. Independent businesses can still make a profit off of treating their staff poorly just like a big chain can. by BrainUpset4545 (Sat 13th May 2023 1:34pm)
  • There are no public toilets in the centre of Glasgow. Both Buchanan Galleries and the St Enoch centre are to be demolished, leaving on the train stations. Where are people meant to use the toilet? by BrainUpset4545 (Wed 31st May 2023 11:17am)
  • You can also go in for free, as opposed to a cafe where you'd need to pay. Maybe if they actually build public toilets in Glasgow and some indoor public spaces, this wouldn't be so much of a problem. by BrainUpset4545 (Wed 31st May 2023 4:58pm)
  • 19.45. Check out the official Muse twitter page for all the times. by BrainUpset4545 (Fri 23rd Jun 2023 2:53pm)
  • They come on at 21.20 according go their twitter. by BrainUpset4545 (Fri 23rd Jun 2023 2:52pm)
  • I know but you're very unlikely to be offered a place because it's means-tested. I have applied to loads of housing associations in Glasgow and have been placed very low on their lists because they don't consider me in need. I really would prefer social housing but it looks like it'll be a long time before I'm offered a place. by BrainUpset4545 (Mon 3rd Jul 2023 8:00am)
  • Bob Vylan are an excellent band. Glad they're finally getting the recognition they deserve! by BrainUpset4545 (Mon 10th Jul 2023 2:51pm)
  • Great, thanks. I didn't know they were playing Glasgow again. Saw them last year in Oran Mor. Isn't the garage smaller than Oran Mor? by BrainUpset4545 (Tue 11th Jul 2023 8:38am)
  • It really exist just to keep poor people out of nice areas and living in nice houses. Lower council usually means a poorer quality house/flat. by BrainUpset4545 (Thu 13th Jul 2023 12:16pm)
  • 70 mm at the GFT, while not in IMAX, will be good and is most likely cheaper than IMAX. Also, the atmosphere at the GFT is great. All the staff have dressed up for Barbenheimer. by BrainUpset4545 (Sun 23rd Jul 2023 1:05pm)
  • Agree it is holy nectar. by BrainUpset4545 (Mon 27th Nov 2023 5:24pm)
