  • Your bursary is likely means tested so they will have to know how much 'support' you already receive from your family. It's the same with student loans, you need to prove that your parents are separated if you only want it based on one of their incomes. by Chubby_McFatFuck (Sun 27th Jun 2021 7:57pm)
  • Never knew about this. Great idea. by Chubby_McFatFuck (Sat 18th Sep 2021 6:55pm)

I know that is absolutely no use to you but if you do find him (he was on Facebook at the time) then he gets my recommendation. by Chubby_McFatFuck (Thu 10th Feb 2022 4:49pm)

  • Yeah it sounds like your mortgage advisor wanted to get as much commission as possible from you. You shouldn't need personal buildings insurance if your factor covers building insurance. I would check with your factor first just to make sure. I dont have personal building insurance on my flat only contents. by Chubby_McFatFuck (Fri 11th Mar 2022 12:30pm)

  • I've taken a couple of basses to the guy in Kenny's Music on Jamaica Street. Can't remember his name. Get them restrung and set up. Also got him to sort an issue with active pick ups. Been good, reasonably priced and pretty quick each time I've been. Not sure if he does acoustics but I can't see why he wouldn't. So probably worth contacting. by Chubby_McFatFuck (Wed 10th Aug 2022 11:45am)
  • Yeah, thats the guy. Couldn't remember his name at all. Cheers for reminding me. by Chubby_McFatFuck (Wed 10th Aug 2022 11:57am)

  • Lockdown has done a number on me as well, hence the username. I joined The Gym group. Pretty cheap but has all the stuff you need. Not seen much progress weight wise (my diet still needs work) but feeling a lot better mentally. by Chubby_McFatFuck (Thu 18th Aug 2022 1:34pm)
  • Thanks, its not exactly been easy to get into a routine but baby steps and all that. If youre willing to shell out £60 a month then im sure you'll find something to your taste. Good luck by Chubby_McFatFuck (Thu 18th Aug 2022 1:44pm)

  • I think your best bet is to speak with a mortgage broker. They will advise of most current government assistance etc as they don't get their commission unless you get a mortgage. by Chubby_McFatFuck (Fri 9th Sep 2022 1:26pm)
  • If you already have a qualification that is the same level or higher than the one you are planning on doing they are unlikely to pay your tuition fees. Not sure about the loan thats paid to help with living costs. I'm sure the website will answer those questions though. by Chubby_McFatFuck (Mon 19th Sep 2022 8:45pm)
  • NYC Grill. 2 quid for 10 wings on Tuesdays. I think there's something like 7 or 8 flavours. by Chubby_McFatFuck (Tue 20th Sep 2022 3:24pm)
  • I've lived in some shit flats in my time and dampness has been an issue in a couple of them. The landlords provided a dehumidifier when they saw the situation. I was on the hook for the electricity which I can understand. Not sure about the legal side of things but it sounds like your land lord is being a dick. by Chubby_McFatFuck (Sat 24th Sep 2022 10:53pm)
  • Made the same mistake on Glassford Street when I first started driving. They sent a link for me to view the video and everything, looked like a proper knob. Just need to use it as a learning experience, pay the fine and move on. by Chubby_McFatFuck (Fri 7th Oct 2022 3:08pm)
  • You not easier parking in town centre? Buchannan galleries etc? by Chubby_McFatFuck (Fri 14th Oct 2022 3:10pm)
  • Thats fair, I didnt realise the Duke street car park was as cheap. by Chubby_McFatFuck (Fri 14th Oct 2022 3:23pm)
  • From personal experience I'd avoid PCP. I've had 2 cars on that plan. When I changed from the 1st car to the 2nd I ended up having to pay more as the original car had negative equity. So I'm essentially paying for my current car and a small part of the old car at the same time. PCP might work for you if you plan on keeping the car for the whole agreement however at the end of the agreement you will either pay a 'balloon payment' to pay the remaining balance of the car and own it outright, or give the car back to the dealership. The 2nd option can also result in negative equity if there is damage or you have gone above the agreed mileage etc. HP may be more expensive monthly but you will own the car outright after the agreement with no balloon payment, and you're free to sell/keep the car as you see fit. I myself will be going for HP when I can eventually got out of my PCP agreement. Some of the stuff I've mentioned may not be entirely accurate as I've only been driving for a few years and may be misunderstanding certain things but that's my 2 cents. I hope it helps. by Chubby_McFatFuck (Tue 18th Oct 2022 12:56pm)
  • Also, might be worth checking with your bank as well. If you have a decent credit rating you might get a better interest rate from them than a car credit company. by Chubby_McFatFuck (Tue 18th Oct 2022 1:15pm)

  • I did similar to you, started at Stow college then did the degree at Caley. I enjoyed the course at Stow and learned a lot. Caley was a different story though, I hated it. I felt they just taught the very basics of far too many areas instead of focusing on a few of them. I agree that people should study it if it's an interest but not if they have some idealic dream of becoming some big shot producer etc by Chubby_McFatFuck (Wed 9th Nov 2022 9:17am)
  • I went to get mine a couple weeks ago. Took about 15-20 minutes before actually getting jabbed. by Chubby_McFatFuck (Thu 10th Nov 2022 11:41am)
  • Aye, it was in Barmulloch so they gave me a couple customary jabs to the face then gave me the vaccine. 8/10 would get jabbed there again. by Chubby_McFatFuck (Thu 10th Nov 2022 2:01pm)

Mine is not sound proof at all, I can hear most of what the folk upstairs are doing and im assuming the folk under me can hear what im doing.
