  • Ooof that is rough to hear but I understand what you mean. The insurance company is still waiting on city council's reply I can only hope there will be some good news. Could you also explain what's the £1200 addition in the tax bill ? by DaJohnnyU (Mon 20th Sep 2021 4:37pm)
  • Good grief. Seems a lot of these counter measures are made for exploiters and the people with legit problems are getting lumped in and got punished by DaJohnnyU (Mon 20th Sep 2021 5:13pm)
  • Hope so too. The insurance company is currently waiting on the council's reply via email, it's just incredible harsh at the moment since I m not the only one affected by this as 2 other apartments are also in ruins by DaJohnnyU (Mon 20th Sep 2021 5:52pm)
  • 100% agree with that. Gonna make some contacts tomorrow by DaJohnnyU (Mon 20th Sep 2021 5:50pm)
  • the insurance did reimburse me on the rent when I provided the receipts and rental agreements for the past year, however they stopped the payment and told me they are trying to work out a solution with the council and I haven't gotten any updates after that by DaJohnnyU (Mon 20th Sep 2021 11:17pm)
  • I know right ? What more proof I can provide at this point. The apartment is all stripped out and one look would've known how messed up it is. 2 other apartments too and I have the insurance company and the factor collaborating with what I claimed and still. by DaJohnnyU (Tue 21st Sep 2021 8:45am)
  • I'm the owner. The insurance company just paid me today for 3 months of the rent as I m currently renting elsewhere. by DaJohnnyU (Tue 21st Sep 2021 3:55pm)
  • Yeah I tried to contact the CT multiple times and same answers that the maximum exemption have applied and there won't be any exceptions and I can only apply for a few discounts one of which includes contacting the building control to deem the building unsafe by DaJohnnyU (Wed 22nd Sep 2021 12:33pm)

  • oh yeah business hasn't been the best for them, and the restaurant right next to them that they owned also went under too, also there is a rumor going around that their family is going through some stuff but that could just be a wife's tale and we may never know by DaJohnnyU (Tue 28th Dec 2021 3:22pm)
  • Costco got some nice frozen gyoza too with vegan options available too, recently tried myself and they aren't half bad :P it is a shame indeed to see it like that, last time I went in the place is mostly empty with some left over stocks available for sale, with that big of a place it's hard to imagine what the rent is gonna be like by DaJohnnyU (Tue 28th Dec 2021 6:15pm)
  • My dad was selected for jury duty a few years back and he couldn't speak English, so I went to the court with him on the day explaining the situation to the staff. He was then exempt from it. There are probably easier methods you could try to apply for the exemption but just in case you couldn't find it in time you can always try this. by DaJohnnyU (Thu 26th Jan 2023 8:59pm)
  • Not the first time this has happened either, took off the roof last time too tho didn't know if anyone was injured. by DaJohnnyU (Sun 21st May 2023 4:19pm)
