  • Schools, aye for the weans. What about their parents though? Sweeping statement here, but surely this starts at home. Same as the inherited tribalism. by Enilisneil (Wed 10th Feb 2021 6:57pm)
  • Similar experience. Standing waiting for a pal outside the old Rio Cafe, ah memories. Wanker in their BMW/Audi/Merc (can't recall) opens door, puts cup out and starts to get into drive mode. Wee me puts it on his bonnet and stands in front of his car, pulse racing... Cue the above, entitled prick back chat. Bin is across the street. Or just take it home.. by Enilisneil (Wed 10th Feb 2021 7:07pm)
  • I don't disagree with you. Happy to think in generations for meaningful change. These kids will be the parents one day. by Enilisneil (Wed 10th Feb 2021 9:54pm)
  • I'm not a sheep, but have 1 sibling. I also now have 2 kids. The hypothesis checks out so far. 2 nipples = 2 kids! Genius. Can only assume people from bigger families have more. by Enilisneil (Sun 14th Feb 2021 9:30am)

  • Just to clarify, the Superbowl was a managed situation, with massive planning to prevent any spread. This was not. I cannot see the future to know what the outcome of this will be, hopefully not a big impact. We shall see. by Enilisneil (Mon 8th Mar 2021 8:12am)
  • Integrated travel ticket/card. Bus, train, underground, next bikes, ferry... Make moving about easy. by Enilisneil (Sat 20th Mar 2021 7:54am)

  • Aye figured that. Didn't know if there was a wee place to catch a swatch at them. Think the wee bit on Balmoral Street might be the best option. Thanks. by Enilisneil (Wed 7th Apr 2021 9:50pm)
  • Thanks. Will check that out too. by Enilisneil (Thu 8th Apr 2021 7:38am)
  • Thanks. I would have loved that as a kid. Always wanted to do it. But never asked! That's another place I'll take him! by Enilisneil (Thu 8th Apr 2021 8:03am)
  • I can confirm. Parked in Dobbies, and walked all round. The grey electric box is the winner! Thanks. by Enilisneil (Sun 11th Apr 2021 3:33pm)
  • Think I've satisfied his awe for a while. He's only 3. But that's probably a good shout for a better opportunity. Cheers. by Enilisneil (Sun 11th Apr 2021 3:36pm)
  • This is not a great viewing site :( can just see the enormous stern of one of them. by Enilisneil (Sun 11th Apr 2021 3:35pm)

  • I know for sure that some streets near KG are not metered on a Saturday... Like Haugh road. So maybe park there and walk? by Enilisneil (Fri 15th Oct 2021 11:49pm)
  • Got stuck in this last night. Genuinely they had stopped people crossing argyle street, from finnieston st to kelvinhall inc kelvinway. So to get from one side to the other you had to go via park/uni avenue/byers road/down the back of kelvinhall. I know the area well and could navigate, but seriously fucked if you didn't. Park was also total darkness for big swathes. Total shutshow. Then as if by magic it ended about 10 or so! Mostly seemed polite policing but they were also from downsouth and heard a lot of weird directions. Helped a few folk that looked scunnered. by Enilisneil (Tue 2nd Nov 2021 9:00pm)
  • Hmmm. Been using it most my life, dunno what you use it for, so if it's got connotations, I'm over 40 and things change! But I'd accept it to be used for "pissed off at being fucked about" "lost because they can't cross a road", "stuck in a place they don't know with little to no info". by Enilisneil (Tue 2nd Nov 2021 10:46pm)
  • Yep. I like dugs. But I don't want to be jumped on by them all. I like it when dogs are free, but can come on command. Got assaulted by an owner during lockdown as his dog was jumping up on me (it just wanted to play) and I pushed it off me. This was as I was cycling and had to stop abruptly as the dog meanders across the path (dogs do this!). Paw prints all up my legs and jacket. Owner is straight up to me grabs my neck and threatens me. Just cause his spaniel(?) wouldn't listen to him. No need. by Enilisneil (Sat 20th Nov 2021 12:13am)
  • Sorry to hear. Sounds like he got worse than me. I got a chance to de-escalate the situation. But precisely this. Don't mind the dog wanting to play, that's what they do, but just have it under control and not jump up on everyone. Or don't have it at all. by Enilisneil (Sat 20th Nov 2021 9:16pm)
  • Otter. Kelvin by arboretum. Thought it was a log, then it just slinked away.. and loads more wild animals as above, but otter! by Enilisneil (Tue 23rd Nov 2021 11:43pm)

  • If I was 29 again, and i like you are a 'loner'. I'd go and find 'workaway jobs'. You can get them in Scotland to try, and then go further afield. I never knew about them until I was all growed up. They are a great way to see new things, get paid, and grow. So Many opportunities and options out there, with very little commitment. by Enilisneil (Wed 31st May 2023 5:54pm)

  • Probably a very slimmed down 'tv production' list, but yeah, same kind of idea. Wwoofing is similar. But tends to be no payments, but food and board. All ace ways of seeing places, learning and saving money. by Enilisneil (Wed 31st May 2023 11:16pm)
