  • They don't take it! I've contacted banks like Monzo, Starling and they only accept bank statements (not revolut though!), Council Tax, Utilities, UK driver license... None of which I have yet by FearsomeChocolate (Sat 17th Oct 2020 4:37pm)
  • Thanks for the suggestion! by FearsomeChocolate (Sat 17th Oct 2020 5:05pm)
  • > Personally, I would also not trust Revolut with handling my money but that's just imo. Me neither, but right now I am trying to change :) > Could you log in to council tax e-billing and get proof of address via that? I just filled every piece of information only to get to the end and get a "Please contact the Council quoting error code X.". I am going to give them a call as soon as I can, thanks! by FearsomeChocolate (Sat 17th Oct 2020 6:07pm)
  • I'm EU so I don't have any of those :) My plan right now is: -Call the council and get them to solve my e-billing registration issue -Pressure banks to accept my rental contract/revolut statement -Wait for an utility bill by FearsomeChocolate (Sat 17th Oct 2020 8:43pm)
  • Thanks for the reply. See my update :) I'm living in Scotland but I work for a foreign company. I can't have a NINO yet since they are temporarily closed for everyone except those claiming benefits by FearsomeChocolate (Mon 19th Oct 2020 5:09pm)
  • I just moved to the UK and also got Vodafone's Superfast 2 service. They were apparently the only fibre broadband providers available in my area. I thought it it was odd given that I live 20min way from the city centre by FearsomeChocolate (Thu 22nd Oct 2020 11:46pm)
  • Hello there! My boiler is having issues with low water pressure and currently I have no hot water and heating. My landlord is very slow at fixing issues and isn't even picking up the emergency contact. I never had a boiler in my life. I have watched some youtube videos and it seems a pretty straightforward and simple job to increase the boiler pressure but I seem to have a different setup from all the videos I watched. Anybody knows how I can safely increase my boiler's pressure? I am afraid to blow up the house if I mess with the wrong thing. by FearsomeChocolate (Mon 16th Nov 2020 8:11pm)
