Thank you for your response. The university is finally getting into gear to help us, though I'm not sure of their plan yet. It's at least reassuring to know they're not leaving us to figure it out alone anymore. Thanks and I would love to, but the prices for an Airbnb are outrageous (maybe they always are, maybe just because it's so close) - I looked into staying for a week to do in-person viewings and get my bearings, but it would cost about half a month's rent. As far as walkability, I'm glad to hear that the city is so easily accessible. I'll look into an expanded area, though I'm not sure how much farther I can go when I'm already looking at a 30+ minute commute by bus/subway.
