  • Just what I heard but, UNIQLO could be taking over that unit. by Geullen (Thu 19th Aug 2021 1:31pm)
  • Honestly I have no clue, but isn’t it surprising that there’s no UNIQLO in Glasgow or Edinburgh??? Seems entirely possible to me. by Geullen (Thu 19th Aug 2021 4:55pm)
  • I don’t know what else to tell you, I’m struggling myself but one thing that has increased my likelihood to get to the viewing stage at least, is to literally sit all day and refresh the page - that way as soon as they come up I can contact the landlord. Don’t rely on the email alerts because I’ve noticed these are really delayed (as in they’ll notify one or two hours later, which, let’s face it, is too late to act during these crazy times). It is unbelievably difficult right now but it’s also a numbers game. You might be desperate but don’t give in ti the crazy rents I’ve been seeing like a one bedroom in Merchant City for £950. They can go fuck themselves. I’m also starting my first proper big boy job since graduating but all I can say is good luck to both of us I’m afraid 😢 by Geullen (Fri 24th Sep 2021 9:13pm)
  • You’ve been lucky! I’ve contacted adverts in the first 30 seconds they were up but somehow once I submit the notes of interest (detailing if you’re a student/professional/non-smoker/have pets etc.) they always choose someone else. by Geullen (Fri 24th Sep 2021 10:08pm)
  • Unfortunately I’m a young professional also looking with another full time worker and still no success by Geullen (Sat 25th Sep 2021 4:17pm)
  • Stay away from Simple. I have very sensitive and dry skin and Simple, and Neutrogena have caused skin reactions in the past. Try to avoid fragrance. For face wash, I'd recommend either CeraVe or the one I'm using, which is La Roche Posay's Toleraine. Following that I use Cosrx's 96 Snail Mucin essence which you use before your moisturiser as it is a humectant and holds moisture. I end it with a moisturiser from Aveeno, which initially a doctor prescribed me years ago but can be bought in Boots and even Tesco for around £8 I think. Half the battle is finding a regime/products that your skin loves. What works for someone else won't necessarily work for you - good luck ! Remember, natural doesn't equal good - for example, grapefruit extracts cause flare ups for me. by Geullen (Mon 4th Oct 2021 8:44pm)
  • Haven’t noticed anything myself and I’m around the big Asda by Geullen (Tue 19th Oct 2021 5:03pm)
  • Gulabi in Strathbungo, though open Wed - Sat have both colour and B&W. Merchant City Cameras have/had Kodak Portra 400 and 800 and Ilford, Jessops beside Buchanan Galleries have Ilford and Fujifilm. I haven’t found Kodak Gold in Glasgow yet but I just bought some in Edinburgh (Morningside) from Cameratiks. by Geullen (Sun 13th Mar 2022 9:15pm)
  • I’ll DM you by Geullen (Sun 27th Mar 2022 9:49pm)
  • I know it’s not the Southside but Kali Yoga Collective. Their studio is LOVELY, it’s based out of the Axiom building next to the Kingston Bridge. I’ve been going there the past month and I love it, always some guys there (incl. me). You can also take their classes online and they save the recording so if you forget to log on, you can do it later. by Geullen (Mon 28th Mar 2022 1:29pm)
  • https://www.advantagehf.co.uk/ian-cowie/ Ian has helped me a lot being a first time buyer and not knowing anything about how mortgages/offers/ the entire buying process works. He is based in Edinburgh but contacts me using WhatsApp and Zoom for longer chats - he is really on the ball and sometimes even messages during weekends!! There is a fee upon completion so if you are discounting that forget what I said! by Geullen (Sun 1st May 2022 3:53pm)
  • Yay, so happy for the Greens who I voted 1st preference!! Although I’m an SNP member, I just couldn’t place Susan Aitken higher than 3rd. by Geullen (Fri 6th May 2022 12:21pm)
  • YES! I used to live in Japan, and not only did shopkeepers clean the pavement/rubbish/sweep up leaves in front of their property, people in blocks of flats did too and it makes such a difference. Glasgow minus all the rubbish would look even more beautiful! by Geullen (Wed 21st Sep 2022 8:48am)
  • Of course you can go the GP route of antibiotics (lymecycline etc). In combination, if you have the money, you can get a catered (paid - £2 first month, £20 thereafter) prescription from Dermatica or Skin&Me where they can give you a tretinoin/niacinimide/topical antibiotic combination cream you apply nightly. They step up the strength every month so you don’t destroy skin by starting off too strong. Source: I have got acne rosacea and have had clear skin for 8 months since my last flare up. by Geullen (Fri 1st Dec 2023 5:13pm)
