  • Fellow Canadian here, I can confirm I've never had an issue using my Canadian drivers license. Whether it's at Tesco bars etc. Sounds like they were overly cautious. by Hollberton (Fri 1st Mar 2019 8:21am)
  • If it helps, I've taken an intro to German at Glasgow uni and the course and course work was excellent! It's a fairly low pressure environment and you pick up on the language fairly quickly. The courses are built for people 100% new to the language and builds you up to basic vocabulary. I was able to go to Germany at the end of it and converse for basic transactions and ordering meals etc. by Hollberton (Wed 15th Apr 2020 3:43pm)
  • NY slice is hands down one of the best pizzas in Glasgow. by Hollberton (Sat 26th Sep 2020 8:48am)
  • Me and my pals from work used to go there. They've had it once or twice and have always commented that it is a class sandwich. But I'm with you I always go for a couple slices. by Hollberton (Sun 27th Sep 2020 8:22am)
  • To provide a bit of context, as I am largely in the same boat at the moment. I've spoken with a few realtors and they've said there is about a 90% decrease in available lets in the city at the moment. by Hollberton (Mon 16th Aug 2021 2:28pm)
  • Thyve all said it's been across the last 2-3 months. So I think things have just become insane. by Hollberton (Tue 17th Aug 2021 7:11am)

  • There’s tens of us! by Hollberton (Fri 14th Jan 2022 10:37pm)
  • I've taken this one! It was really great and a good mix of people young and old. It's suited for someone going in from nothing and at the end of it you can converse in basic German to the point in which you can order food, find transport, etc. I'd highly recommend it. by Hollberton (Sat 30th Jul 2022 10:16pm)
  • You can probably squeeze in 3 dishes at Ox and Finch. From their menu, you should be able to manage a starter, main, and dessert at a Michelin-reviewed restaurant for about that price. by Hollberton (Thu 22nd Sep 2022 6:27pm)
  • Glasgow School of Art does quite a few night-time art classes. by Hollberton (Sat 15th Oct 2022 8:27pm)
  • Head over to [https://www.ofcg.co.uk/](https://www.ofcg.co.uk/) (Office furniture Centre) near Glasgow Green / Bridgeton Area. Lovely folk and they also do delivery for a bit more if you need as well. by Hollberton (Tue 6th Dec 2022 10:41am)
  • There’s a muse concert on Friday in Belahouston. It will be a mud pit come Sunday for Artic Monkeys. by Hollberton (Mon 19th Jun 2023 11:07am)
  • Busy music week for Glasgow. Muse, Artic Monkeys, Guns and Roses, Hozier, The Black Keys, The Proclaimers, and Iron Maiden are all within the next week. by Hollberton (Tue 20th Jun 2023 11:27am)
  • A bit further out from the city centre but West has a decent outdoor space and serve burgers on their outdoor beer garden menu. by Hollberton (Tue 20th Jun 2023 4:16pm)
  • Official set start time released today is 9:20 pm. by Hollberton (Fri 23rd Jun 2023 2:10pm)
  • Dominoes and Pizza Hut both also do a gluten free base. Lychee Oriental (Chinese food) is a coeliac uk certified kitchen in the city centre, Stereo in the city centre is a great cafe / casual restaurant that also has drinks and food. M&S has decent gf meal deal options that taste decent, Hanoi Bike Shop (Vietnamese) in the west end, Stack and Still has really good gf pancakes, butterfly and pig has breakfast, lunch, and dinner, mackintosh tea room is really great for breakfast or afternoon tea and dessert, topolabamba for Tex-mex tacos and such (mostly a gluten free menu with 1 or 2 exceptions), flying duck is good for a pint and some nibbles, red onion for a slightly nicer dinner, Dakhin for Indian. by Hollberton (Sun 25th Jun 2023 11:58am)
  • I mean terrible ethics but Bucks Bar has a great chicken burger. by Hollberton (Wed 26th Jul 2023 12:51pm)
