  • I live in Ruchill, a few flats up from the Mayfield. Other posters are right that there are the odd few neds, junkies etc but it's mostly just bluster. Some noise at night and depending on who's in your close it's a decent place to live. I've had no bother and I've been here for 6 years. People generally keep to themselves, and when they do speak up its usually to talk shite. by Jawdan86 (Sat 2nd May 2020 11:32pm)

  • Don't let anyone make you feel bad for making the right decision. Go home to your family. by Jawdan86 (Sat 19th Dec 2020 9:19pm)
  • Seriously? People travel every single day for work. If people want to travel then let them. Just as safe to travel than to go to Tesco, a cafe or Primark. Some absolute weapons on here, honestly. by Jawdan86 (Sat 19th Dec 2020 9:18pm)
  • DELETED Blankly ignoring and rightly so. The government can't be trusted. Their judgement is absolutely appalling. The pont of a lockdown is to flatten the curve and help the NHS. There are empty ICUs and empty purpose built hospitals. A lockdown is overkill right now. Is it 500 odd daily cases in the whole country? 0.0001% Total overkill bullshit. by Jawdan86 (Sat 19th Dec 2020 9:28pm)
  • I suppose the point I'm trying to make is that the lockdowns haven't worked. 9 months in and it's the same shite. Sacrifices after sacrifices and for what? Relax and lockdown, relax and lockdown. I would want to comply if the government could govern properly, make the hard decision and not relent to what amounts to peer pressure. Lives are destroyed either way. by Jawdan86 (Sat 19th Dec 2020 10:55pm)
  • There's a nearby traveller community. Might be overspill. by Jawdan86 (Fri 15th Jan 2021 11:41pm)
  • Kitty O'Shea's have live music. Usually decent aswell. There's one in town and one on great Western road. by Jawdan86 (Mon 9th Aug 2021 7:42pm)
  • They’re striking because if they do work a Sunday they don’t get an extra payment like drivers do. They get paid plenty for the work they do. They are sadly replaceable with technology. They went on strike when electric, conducter-less trains were introduced too. by Jawdan86 (Mon 25th Oct 2021 5:58pm)
  • And the forth and Clyde canal is next to it if you want to extend the walk. by Jawdan86 (Wed 25th May 2022 9:18pm)
