  • Thanks! I appreciate the suggestions. I admit, I'm not used to big cities. The closest we've got is Belfast, and it's not that big compared to other places. This will be my first time living in a city, and not being an hour train ride from my family so, I'm a bit anxious over the move, lol. by Kerrbear2202 (Tue 19th Jul 2022 10:41am)
  • Thanks! I'm gonna be in Steatchlyde for uni, if that helps. I'll probably be find a place to let near the campus as it's typically cheaper than the student accommodation. by Kerrbear2202 (Tue 19th Jul 2022 11:25am)
  • MyPad Paisley is already fully booked. I'm for doing my masters at Strathclyde, and I need to move from NI over to Glasgow. Decided to try and find a room off Spare Room, but had no luck, so I ended up biting the bullet and applied for student accommodation. Uni said that with overbooking, they'd refer me to MyPad Paisley, and offered me a spot there. Got told I'd have a room on hold for 5 days from when I got an email. Did my application the moment I got the email, but it wouldn't let me finish the application. Turns out MyPad had no rooms free, and that they were already booked out from before I got my email. Told the uni, and they magically now had a room available for me on campus like I originally wanted. They said they had to do this for any student they referred to MyPad that couldn't apply. Feel bad for the people whose rooms have now vanished because they've had to change their priorities for who gets a room. It's been the most stressful time I've had trying to get a room sorted. Either way, I wish OP the best of luck and hope they can find a room before they are forced to defer. by Kerrbear2202 (Sun 14th Aug 2022 10:17am)
