  • I work in a hospital and the advice we're getting from our management is that it isn't a shortage problem, it's a supply problem. So there are plenty of PPE but it's just not getting out to us quick enough. by LarleneLumpkin (Mon 6th Apr 2020 1:13pm)
  • Holy shit, never heard of Granny before. Ah yeah I remember BB. It got banned at our primary school because of so many kids getting hurt. Every now an then the playground monitors would treat us to a schoolwide, heavily supervised, game of it. by LarleneLumpkin (Tue 25th Aug 2020 9:29am)
  • It was like a secret point. Don't think I ever saw anyone manage to do it in all my childhood! by LarleneLumpkin (Tue 25th Aug 2020 10:18am)
  • Our version of Down By The Bramble Bushes was much longer. Just new verses got tagged on along the way I think. by LarleneLumpkin (Tue 25th Aug 2020 10:15am)

  • Yupyupyup. My instructor took me round them so many times and it was a nightmare every single trip. Couple of days after I passed I took a wrong turn and the sat nav led me down to those wee roundabouts. Kid rushed out from the park on a scooter and I had to slam the breaks then stalled trying to start up again. Confidence was shot and couldn't get by the second roundabout for ages. One of those things I think about when I can't sleep at night. by LarleneLumpkin (Thu 29th Apr 2021 9:27am)
  • They never used to be but the sexual tension has been building up over time. by LarleneLumpkin (Tue 28th Jun 2022 10:24pm)
  • Honestly, I never considered myself anti-cyclist as I only started driving a year ago but seeing as most of the responses have been incredibly obvious and understandable I'm questioning my whole mentality. I may be developing drivers brain. by LarleneLumpkin (Wed 29th Jun 2022 11:45am)
  • We were literally held captive in our own house by 2 nesting seagulls last summer. Every time I tried to open a window they would fly at it, screaming at me. Our postman had to carry a massive pole which he held in the air as he did his rounds so they wouldn't swoop too close to him Had to make a mad dash for the car in the morning to try and get to work and would get swooped at every time. They also vomit on you if you linger too long. by LarleneLumpkin (Sat 9th Jul 2022 9:33am)
  • Yeah I've noticed it's gotten really bad in the cinema now. People got their phones out every 5 secs, browsing Instagram and even fucking tiktok. People have no attention span at all anymore cause they're used to their entertainment coming in 3 min videos on social media. There also seems to have been some massive collective identity crisis going on where everyone wants to be the main fucking character of every situation (probably also because of social media). by LarleneLumpkin (Tue 19th Jul 2022 10:11pm)
  • Yeah I've seen him walking around Maryhill midweek too. by LarleneLumpkin (Sun 18th Sep 2022 8:12am)
  • I know it's on the other side of the river but that set of traffic lights just before the railway bridge on Hawthorne St in Maryhill is the bane of my existence every morning.. by LarleneLumpkin (Sat 19th Nov 2022 10:37pm)
  • Mad how quickly things have changed. 2 years ago my boyfriend and I were renting a 2 bedroom flat in bearsden for £700 a month. by LarleneLumpkin (Sun 11th Dec 2022 9:04pm)

  • When I was at the retail park about 9am this morning the wee car was flipped onto its roof. Rip. by LarleneLumpkin (Sun 18th Jun 2023 10:39pm)
  • I'm guessing they'd describe it as a "Red Hand of Ulster Salute" rather than a Nazi one - it's a salute they basically made up based on the Red Hand of Ulster to rile folk up. Not that it makes much of a difference. by LarleneLumpkin (Mon 24th Jul 2023 9:19pm)
  • I had COVID in April 2020. Never had it since and I've had all my vaccines and boosters. All of my family are the same, parents have never had COVID but are identified as high-risk cause of other health issues and have had every vaccine and booster. So does my anecdotal evidence trump yours or how does this work? by LarleneLumpkin (Fri 15th Sep 2023 12:52pm)
