  • Taxi drivers have the best accountants in case you didn’t understand the context of the post by Liammm96 (Fri 5th Jun 2020 8:26pm)
  • Didn’t mean to cause any offence, not for a second did I mean to imply that you avoid taxes. I am looking for a way to pay my taxes properly without being overcharged on accountant fees. given that the size of my business is comparative to that of a small taxi firm I simply wanted to find a reliable firm that is both affordable, reliable and used by locals who may know better than me about running a small business. Your comment about doing your own books is very interesting to me. I was constantly being told that this is a bad idea, although those people were also trying to push me to using their own services or their friends/contacts. by Liammm96 (Fri 5th Jun 2020 10:29pm)
  • It was poorly written il admit. I thought it would be a valuable lesson to learn how to keep my own books and file my own returns but obv it comes huge risk. I think il go to a professional as you suggest. Il check out your brothers guy, hopefully their accepting new clients and are back open or contactable at least. Really do appreciate your time and advice mate by Liammm96 (Fri 5th Jun 2020 10:51pm)
  • Every other country - 99% wearing masks Here? 99% not wearing masks. Source: regular park goer and amazon delivery driver. I think folk believe we are made of tougher stuff than the rest. Or we are just plain stupid. by Liammm96 (Tue 23rd Jun 2020 2:36pm)
  • I am not currently allowed to deliver to neighbours. The customer makes the agreement to take the risk (however small), the neighbours have not made such an agreement. This means that once I have finished my 9 hour route I have to go back to all the people that weren’t in, didn’t have a safe spot selected and wouldn’t answer their phone. For no extra pay. It’s shit but it keeps people safe. We also get our temp taken every morning by Liammm96 (Tue 23rd Jun 2020 3:15pm)

  • Is the Red Cross as simple as listing my available hours? These can change from day to day and often can be longer than originally expected. So wouldn’t want to agree to a formal arrangement in case I let someone down. Social Bite sounds very interesting, I feel I could help people get back to work and potentially bring new skills and experience to the table. I have a few years of sales, customer service, maintenance/repairs, furniture assembly experience so this perhaps could be useful. Thank you! by Liammm96 (Tue 1st Jun 2021 11:11am)
  • Going to check out Refweegee, Social Bite and GlasgowCleanUp initially. After summer, once Uni starts back, I will have a more fixed schedule and may get the opportunity to try out other places too! by Liammm96 (Tue 1st Jun 2021 11:22am)
  • if it’s literally just 4 walls and no ceiling/wood then about £100 not including paint, masking etc if i was doing 4 walls, ceiling, woods i’d probably ask £250, more if things need filled/pre-treated by Liammm96 (Thu 28th Jul 2022 3:10pm)
  • i’d want £150+ assuming each room took 2hr+ to remove and replace, more to paint and caulk, i charge £20-£25 ph though so someone will absolutely offer to do it cheaper by Liammm96 (Thu 28th Jul 2022 3:15pm)

  • i guess it might be possible if happy gilmore types are going at it from the top floor but surely they would have had to test it extensively before allowing it to go ahead? by Liammm96 (Fri 25th Nov 2022 4:49pm)

  • There’s a camera covering that section of the road on the long stretch just after it turns from a 50 to a 60mph limit, might be somewhere for the police to start as I don’t see how they could be on that point in the road without first passing that particular camera by Liammm96 (Fri 5th May 2023 10:45pm)
  • Here’s the pin for the camera location on gmaps: https://maps.app.goo.gl/4L4ujR3vFNQHosP88?g_st=ic by Liammm96 (Fri 5th May 2023 10:55pm)
  • The camera I previously referred to is pointing downwards, so will likely be useless. There’s another one maybe a half mile before the polmadie on-ramp by Liammm96 (Sat 6th May 2023 7:24pm)
