I feel your pain. I came up to work for a year from England and Glasgow completely stole my heart. I was on secondment so had no say on when I went “home” but I’ll be back as soon as I can. What’s your plan to go back?

I spent 8 months living out of the Crowne Plaza for work and I took this on my phone on a night I couldn’t sleep, so I went for a walk... I’m a proper country lass and it’s the only city I’ve felt comfortable walking around at night (even if not far from the hotel)

I’m in the midlands now but I’m Cornish originally so being back beside the water was awesome. When Covid naffs off I’m coming back for a holiday at least... in your expert opinion what’s the one thing you’d say I need to see/do/go to??

I think it was the people that made it for me. The city was awesome but the people I met were something special.

I was in my 20s when I started my apprenticeship with BAE (down south, not ships) and found my life experience, work ethic, and general understanding of how to be a grown up made a big difference. Go at it with the right attitude and they should snap you up.
