  • When I lived in Edinburgh, almost all of my Deliveroo orders to a specific flat with similar sounding streets surrounding it would go to the wrong street despite my instructions whereas Just Eat and Uber Eats were totally fine. I assumed this was because Deliveroo used it's own navigation but wasn't sure by Mane95thMin (Fri 6th Nov 2020 11:56am)
  • I’ve got an even better idea, how about we contact you in the future when everyone’s vaccinated with no weird disease that you speak of and see whether you’ll still reply from your maws basement or if you’ll be keeping quiet ? by Mane95thMin (Thu 31st Dec 2020 2:43pm)

  • There's absolutely nothing bigoted about what elyl is saying - you're completely missing the point mate. They are saying equal representation in languages is important but that is not what's being discussed here Take for example if you went to a village in the Catalonia region of Spain that had a Spanish name as it was established fairly recently. There had never been a "Catalonian" name for that village, it's Spanish. It's not discriminatory to *not* create a Catalonian name for it, that no one has ever used, just to be more PC. That is the exact same as what is being proposed here by Mane95thMin (Mon 8th Feb 2021 10:30am)
  • Of course you're the same roaster from the thread about glasgow being voted the friendliest city and you were crying about backlash you got for saying "you'd only visited Glasgow twice" with some made up story lol by Mane95thMin (Fri 19th Feb 2021 9:34am)
  • I’m a simpleton, and yet you’re the one that’s formed racist opinions based purely on things you’ve seen online and no real life experience Ok m8 have a good day by Mane95thMin (Fri 19th Feb 2021 9:42am)

  • So many restaurants do this and I don't know how they get away with it. Barburrito/Death Valley, Chiquitos/Kick ass burrito. There was a load of others from similar shitty chain restaurants when I lived in Edinburgh but I can't remember them by Mane95thMin (Mon 29th Mar 2021 12:02pm)

  • Do agree with you here to a degree, however just having a desk in the corner of the room that I don't go near once I log off has helped me quite a lot. Would rather a separate room of course by Mane95thMin (Thu 8th Apr 2021 9:24am)

  • Read this comment and realised I’d completely forgotten what the feeling of queueing for a club/being in a club felt like.. by Mane95thMin (Mon 12th Apr 2021 12:18am)
  • On alexandra parade there’s really only 2 places doing non-chippy/takeaway food in the day: Celino’s and Scran. The queue for both is always big. Personally I’ve found the hot food from Celino’s a bit average which leaves me pining for Scran Monday to Wednesday when it isn’t open :( by Mane95thMin (Mon 12th Apr 2021 12:20am)
  • I haven’t really paid attention to much of the food places on duke street, I’ll maybe give some of them a try because it’s really only 10 minutes from alexandra parade. I’ve had some good meals from Celinos (and their Italian snacks are fantastic) and it sounds great for your situation, I’ve just found that the queue for it can be massive for the actual reward of the food you get. Their sandwiches are good and the service from the staff is always great, I think locals maybe just wish there was more places on offer around AP station! by Mane95thMin (Mon 12th Apr 2021 12:29am)
  • Glasgow South JD is a good gym, plenty of equipment and when they're on social distancing they do it well (though just before the last lockdown they seemed to throw this out of the window with how many people they let in). Plus it's moving to 24 hours Definitely does seem to be less gym bro's too as someone else mentioned by Mane95thMin (Wed 14th Apr 2021 11:44am)

  • So Nicola Sturgeon is a "fascist" creating a "socialist republic" according to this trumpet? Got it These right wing fannys have no idea what any of these political terms mean, they're just buzzwords by Mane95thMin (Fri 7th May 2021 12:53pm)
  • You're a perfect example of wee guys on the internet that just have to be controversial or against the tide to try and look "right" even if you have no argument. All this carry on over nothing on a Reddit thread by Mane95thMin (Tue 11th May 2021 3:20pm)

  • That really sucks, sorry to hear. Same happened to me last Christmas, was not a nice phonecall breaking the news that I'd be stuck in my flat and couldn't head home for Christmas. Last year we pretended the 29th was Christmas when I was eventually out of isolation, I know it's no the same but it's something at least. by Mane95thMin (Mon 20th Dec 2021 4:22am)

  • Cyber ops management, based in Edinburgh though - £75k with 5 years experience (bouncing around roles having no idea what I actually wanted to do) by Mane95thMin (Mon 15th May 2023 3:34am)
  • I'd recommend looking into CompTIA certifications. They're non proprietary (not focused on one tool or company), pretty cheap and fairly well regarded for entry into industry. Not entirely sure which cert you could do but they've got loads based on what you want to do and experience level by Mane95thMin (Mon 15th May 2023 3:31am)
