  • Perfect! Thank you so much for your input! by MelancholyDoc27 (Wed 29th Jun 2022 2:03pm)
  • I'm so sorry that you had that experience! I think my aim is to stick to well lit areas. But thank you for your input. by MelancholyDoc27 (Wed 29th Jun 2022 3:57pm)
  • Ah perfect - thanks for the heads up. Am I correct in thinking that when looking at the conditions for a HMO i.e. 3 tenants that includes me, being the property owner, within that 3 tenants group or is that up to 3 tenants on top yourself being the homeowner in that situation? Thanks again by MelancholyDoc27 (Mon 21st Nov 2022 3:28pm)

  • Ah okay didnt realise that! I had moved from england and it was very much no-go on pets of any kind on a rental property if the landlord wasnt keen (which usually was the case). I have phoned them and they said they are taking time processing applications. Do you think there is a massive influx of people trying to adopt atm? by MelancholyDoc27 (Wed 24th May 2023 9:33pm)
  • On gumtree ha ha. Where did you adopt your kittens? by MelancholyDoc27 (Wed 24th May 2023 9:41pm)
  • Thank you for replying! I did message catflap and it seems to be the same case of lots of demand and they seem to have minimal work staff since I think theyre a small charity. I always felt that with an adult cat you know what youre getting, theyre generally more chill and just want lots of affection/treats which I can't say no to. Kittens are great but they need to be watched over more intensely and I have a demanding job and I'm away hours at a time so it would be unfair of me to do that to a kitten. by MelancholyDoc27 (Wed 24th May 2023 9:40pm)
  • I'm up to the 6 week mark from them and not heard a peep so they maybe under a load of applications =/ by MelancholyDoc27 (Wed 24th May 2023 9:58pm)
  • Thank you! I will certainly look into it! by MelancholyDoc27 (Wed 24th May 2023 9:58pm)
  • All I did was search for cats in gumtree and I got kittens in the 175-350 range. Again im not advocating buying kittens like this as I dont really know the circumstances of the kittens. I'm sure they come from decent people but it's a similar vibe to puppy mills for me, which I don't agree with. I'm not looking for a designer breed or anything, I just want a companion. by MelancholyDoc27 (Wed 24th May 2023 9:57pm)
  • Thank you for letting me know! Are the details for the rehoming centre available online? by MelancholyDoc27 (Wed 24th May 2023 10:04pm)

  • >Underheugh Ark Rescue. Thank you! I'll check them out! With regards to fostering, do you have to return the cats back if you end up getting on well with them? I would be devastated if I bonded with a cat and then realised I had to give them up. by MelancholyDoc27 (Wed 24th May 2023 10:56pm)
  • That sounds so sweet! I also hope to give a home to a cat that needs some support! by MelancholyDoc27 (Wed 24th May 2023 11:28pm)
  • Will do! by MelancholyDoc27 (Thu 25th May 2023 12:27am)
