  • Yea apologies it’s just a quote. There have been 3 tenders and this is the one they have recommended progressing with. We have asked some roofing contractors and building surveyors to look over the report and the quotes to check. Can never trust factors as you hear so many horror stories.. thanks for your reply 😊 by Mysterious_Let2721 (Thu 29th Apr 2021 9:34pm)
  • Thanks for your reply and honesty. The really upsetting thing is we had planned to sell in the next few months. We are in a 1-bed both working from home and needing more space. We have got some roofing contractors and building surveyors to look over the quotes. I’m worried about the flat becoming unsellable If as a close it is agreed to only do patchwork repairs. There is no chance everyone will agree to the works! by Mysterious_Let2721 (Thu 29th Apr 2021 9:31pm)
  • Thanks for your reply. We are going to look into the city council grant for tenements but it was mentioned this is only for a full building and cannot just cover a roof. I’m not sure out building would be a top priority for this as compared to a lot of others in the city it isn’t bad! by Mysterious_Let2721 (Thu 29th Apr 2021 9:38pm)
  • Thanks for your reply abs good to have a comparison to go by! We have asked some roofing contractors and building surveyors to have a look over the tenders. Really bad timing as we were hoping to sell and know it will drag on trying to get any sort of agreement in the close as how to proceed. by Mysterious_Let2721 (Thu 29th Apr 2021 9:37pm)
  • The grove on argyle street or the Kent chippie on Kent Road are both good and close to the park by Mysterious_Let2721 (Thu 29th Apr 2021 9:42pm)
  • That’s really helpful to know, thank you. Do you mind me asking how much the grant covers? Are the owners still left to cover quite a large proportion? by Mysterious_Let2721 (Thu 29th Apr 2021 11:20pm)
  • Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a detailed response. We have a call with the factor and the surveyor next week so I will be sure to ask each point raised. Thanks again for your help by Mysterious_Let2721 (Mon 3rd May 2021 9:00am)
