  • Erm. I love a nice cheese, but what on earth is cheese whittling? It can't be the whittling of a cheese. (I've googled 🙈) by N0ra_R0ra (Thu 23rd May 2019 1:03pm)
  • I would! Thanks so much. I may have lost my job today so I may have all the free time in the world for this list I've got now 😎 by N0ra_R0ra (Thu 23rd May 2019 1:06pm)
  • Oh thanks for the list! I've heard of Café Scientifique. I think I may have been once, is it in the admiral? by N0ra_R0ra (Thu 23rd May 2019 1:05pm)
  • 😮😮😮 is this a Reddit thing? by N0ra_R0ra (Fri 14th Jun 2019 11:04am)

  • I read on Facebook comments that she should have asked to cross the road....also that the person filming is her boyfriend and she was baiting them in trying to cross, knowing that they would react in some way. So, this is her fault, apparently. How hard to you have to work to victim blame this hard by N0ra_R0ra (Wed 10th Jul 2019 3:17pm)
  • Hmmm I meant more the mentality of victim blaming and the lengths taken to do so by N0ra_R0ra (Wed 10th Jul 2019 5:02pm)
  • Apparently it's an art project, according to someone who passed while they setting it up and asked. Not my kinda art but who knows, maybe I'm missing some reference 🤷‍♀️ by N0ra_R0ra (Sun 14th Jul 2019 7:37pm)

  • Orange fucking walks. Again. by N0ra_R0ra (Sun 22nd Sep 2019 10:46pm)
  • Exactly, that's what I've always thought. It's the same with any ideology, you grow up in a family who supports it, you have friends who support it. Read that article about Neil Lennon laying a wreath for the Rangers guy who died of MND (sorry not a football person) and this is more of what we need to see. Just adults playing a sport. Adults following their religion. Can everyone calm down with the inherited hatred by N0ra_R0ra (Sun 22nd Sep 2019 10:51pm)

  • Why is there a fitba tag? You wanting to shine in players eyes? by N0ra_R0ra (Sat 21st Dec 2019 3:49pm)
  • Well he wants it to be semi-powerful. Curious what he wants it for - there's a fitba tag so maybe for a football game, shine in players eyes? by N0ra_R0ra (Sat 21st Dec 2019 3:47pm)
  • You know you can be done for that, yeah? Why? What a fucking knob. Pretty sure you should be studying in your break before school's back - you're 14, clearly not the sharpest tool just yet but there's still time by N0ra_R0ra (Sat 21st Dec 2019 3:58pm)

  • That’s exactly why I love old maps (I love everything old, but especially maps). I want to know the exact process. This guy walking about with pencil and paper, writing places down as he asked locals “where am I” Probably hilariously different than the nonsense my ridiculous old brain came up with, but watching/reading about history is my favourite hobby as I love to imagine I’m one of them! • “There have been other incidences like that if you want to report to the police” may have been a better tactic...as she may still have wanted to, despite the fact that the previous 3 were male by N0ra_R0ra (Sun 30th Aug 2020 9:47am)
  • This is what I’m telling people, as well as the fact that the infections have been traced to homes, but people just want to shout as if they know better. No one ever takes the time to fucking think by N0ra_R0ra (Tue 1st Sep 2020 11:24pm)

  • >Travel every single day for work Non essential businesses will be closed, so no, that’s incorrect in this instance >just as safe to travel than to go to Tesco, a cafe or Primark Well cafes and Primark will also be closed, but part of the reason restrictions are in place is to reduce the extent of travel, no one has ever said it’s more risky covidwise to travel to a certain place or other. The point is everyone across the country is trying to rationalise trips they REALLY don’t need to make. The entire fucking country is going to have a worse Christmas than they’d like. We have to deal with it, but no this entire thread is “you do you” bullshit that’s the whole fucking reason we are still dealing with this 10 months on. by N0ra_R0ra (Sun 20th Dec 2020 12:38am)
  • The next month? by N0ra_R0ra (Sun 20th Dec 2020 12:42am)
  • Seriously, thought I’d come in here to see some rational conversation, but people have lost their minds. Gonna be dealing with this same lockdown carousel in March because of people doing whatever they like 🙃 by N0ra_R0ra (Sun 20th Dec 2020 12:41am)

  • There should be no preferential treatment, majority of the population or not by N0ra_R0ra (Sun 20th Dec 2020 10:30am)
  • Come on. The example you give is a wee bit extreme and I think in that case exceptions could be made, yeah? Obviously not the situation I’m referring to 🙄 I’m just talking about the selfish among us who are going ahead with plans, even though they don’t have to. by N0ra_R0ra (Sun 20th Dec 2020 11:36am)
  • I’d say the example of someone being so low that they want to top themselves is extreme- I may have misunderstood your comment, I don’t know 🤷‍♂️ by N0ra_R0ra (Sun 20th Dec 2020 2:58pm)
  • Who? by N0ra_R0ra (Sun 20th Dec 2020 2:56pm)
  • I heard of this last year - what put me off was it gave off MLM vibes. I had a meeting with the rep, and he heavily implied that part of my work would be getting more members. Which, I suppose given the nature of the organisation makes sense. But it was like there was a quota. And, he jumps on any fb post in local groups advertising, when there are free alternatives available (eg, a tenant has a landlord not doing repairs, the council have a committee dedicated to this which takes it down a legal route, the tenant does not have to set up a paid membership to exercise his rights) by N0ra_R0ra (Mon 15th Feb 2021 5:08pm)
  • They don’t want a random homeless person to get hassled - but posting it to thousands of people is guaranteeing this man to be hassled. Totally understand the awful situation the family are in and if this were me I’d probably have done something similar in my desperation. But this is absolutely the wrong way to go about this - as mentioned above, council and police, not Joe Soaps who are not trained in these situations. It’s not like these services aren’t available by N0ra_R0ra (Mon 15th Feb 2021 5:26pm)
  • Where would be good to take a 10 year old? He loved ice skating a couple of times, so think this will go down a treat! by N0ra_R0ra (Mon 22nd Feb 2021 3:57pm)

  • My cat went missing for 2/3 months last year, I’d religiously posted for ages in Knightswood groups but only got him back as luckily someone from a Westerton group noticed. So try surrounding areas on Facebook would be my tip 😊 hope your wee cat is found soon by N0ra_R0ra (Sat 8th May 2021 5:41pm)
  • Question: I have my vaccine on the 4th, so obviously I would cancel if I do get the vaccine tomorrow? But I don’t want to have to wait ages then for the second dose and potentially get it too late, how do people avoid that Edit: another question: I thought the demand for vaccines was huge, how are they struggling to get people in for them? by N0ra_R0ra (Sun 23rd May 2021 9:21pm)
  • Okay great that does make sense :) I’ll see if I’m free tomorrow, thanks for sharing by N0ra_R0ra (Sun 23rd May 2021 9:29pm)

  • 99% of people seem to be missing part of the motivation behind the new measures. God forbid we start acting like adults and take responsibility for our waste by N0ra_R0ra (Mon 28th Jun 2021 6:33pm)
  • >Oh so our council tax will go down, yeah? I’d love if GCC actually worked out how much they’re saving per household a month, and deduct accordingly. Then people would realise they’re trying to validate their laziness/ignorance with like, a fucking quid a month by N0ra_R0ra (Mon 28th Jun 2021 6:37pm)
  • Sorry I was quoting the usual response you get from people on Facebook about the issue, I’m not expecting you to fix it at all. Sorry for the misunderstanding by N0ra_R0ra (Mon 28th Jun 2021 6:46pm)
  • If they’re being responsible though, they won’t need to take it to the centre (I don’t, and I have a son so it’s not like it’s just me producing waste) >Folk that just dump their stuff are going to continue to dump it Probably. And I wish GCC would realise (or begin caring) that introducing one measure doesn’t solve the problem, it just pops up elsewhere. It obviously needs a more comprehensive overhaul. But At least it goes a way to changing the throwaway mentality we have that we don’t like our perfectly good carpet, just chuck it out for the council. We need to actually think about what we’re consuming and how to avoid putting it in the dump - eg selling, charity, bartering groups etc etc by N0ra_R0ra (Mon 28th Jun 2021 6:53pm)
  • I wasn’t trying to say that was your thought process at all, again, sorry for the confusion. I’m in 100% agreement with you ☺️ no a tariff doesn’t solve it, but I don’t think there exists one measure they can implement that’s going to totally solve it. by N0ra_R0ra (Mon 28th Jun 2021 6:57pm)
  • I agree. I think the whole post has made me think more about it, and my point was definitely flawed by N0ra_R0ra (Tue 29th Jun 2021 6:33pm)

  • Is the figure listed on the CT bill irrelevent to what the council spend it on then? That is, the 100 for water/sewage etc might actually be divided amoung their roads, cleansing budgets etc? by N0ra_R0ra (Sun 31st Oct 2021 11:44am)
  • https://www.glasgow.gov.uk/reportasb it's online and you need to go through the myscot account thing, but should be straightforward enough.
