  • So mani have been hit or miss for me :( Braw masks on Etsy has been my fave so far. Nose wire and a good fit, it’s been the only one to fit my Roman nose and not hurt behind my ears after 10 mins in supermarket. by PamVanDam (Sat 11th Jul 2020 12:10am)
  • I was meant to go to Budapest in May. Wizz air were great in comparison to Ryan air. They told me about the cancellation of my flight , asked if I wanted a refund and about a week or so after the flight date they refunded me. Ryan air.... sent me a billion messages about taking vouchers and made me jump through endless hopes to “apply for cash refund”... to then tell me I can only have vouchers. by PamVanDam (Thu 6th Aug 2020 10:23pm)
  • Some estate agents work with developers that are looking to cash buy and snap places up to flip. I did that a few years ago when I needed to get rid of an old flat quickly. It was beyond repair and I was too exhausted and coming off the death of a parent to have the strength to do it up. Estate agent had a potential buyer in mind as soon as they saw it. Took the stress out of arranging viewings etc etc by PamVanDam (Fri 14th Aug 2020 10:42pm)
  • The parking attendants are usually pretty helpful when you get there. Just before March lockdown I had to take my mother to a check up after her surgery and after driving for forever trying to find a space with no luck, I talked to the attendant and explained we were about to be very late for her appt. He told us to drive to a set spot up the top and that there’d be no issue or charge. by PamVanDam (Wed 18th Nov 2020 8:59pm)
  • Cleats I think . We got ours off Amazon for like £5 and they work like a charm. by PamVanDam (Mon 4th Jan 2021 7:15pm)
  • Yeah it’s happened on and off a few times in the last half hour. Seems it’s happening to most people in this area. by PamVanDam (Sat 15th May 2021 8:18pm)
  • It’s been a lot better since they took away specific visiting hours and opened it up more. It’s less crammed but still busy during the most common times. That said, I think they are still running a no visitors restriction (unless exceptional circumstances ; end of life , dementia etc) and that could also mean less cars around. Unsure when that will lift though. by PamVanDam (Thu 13th Jan 2022 12:50am)
  • We have her signed up to them yeah but it’s not till end of October and was looking for something to do in between. Lots of good suggestions here! by PamVanDam (Thu 29th Sep 2022 12:38am)
  • Her first visit is tomorrow , will certainly ask them! by PamVanDam (Thu 29th Sep 2022 12:38am)

  • We will of course be taking her out to meet other dogs as we have a park nearby. It’s just not as common to meet puppies on walks and the dogs trust behaviourist mentioned it’s important for them to mingle with their own age group and not just older dogs. It’s also nice to have options and variety available since this young, stubborn lady loses interest in things real quick 🤣 by PamVanDam (Thu 29th Sep 2022 12:41am)

  • After my dad died late 2017 I wanted to do something random to get me out the house and my depression funk. Early 2018 I Googled random sports to do in Glasgow and found aerial (hoop, rope, trapeze , silks etc…) Went along and was instantly hooked! Cut to now and I’m still and avid aerialist, going on my first ever workshop abroad next month and am still loving it. It’s been a great way to try something new, get stronger, travel and meet new people. by PamVanDam (Tue 11th Apr 2023 2:55pm)
  • Yeah a lot of drops, spins and slides do give me the fear 🤣 by PamVanDam (Tue 11th Apr 2023 4:42pm)
  • There’s a few different places at varying prices, offering different types of classes and with varying venue height. [Aerial Edge](https://aerialedge.co.uk/) - right next to Ibrox Stadium, offers funky things like flying trapeze Chinese pole. Lots of rigging classes , workshops and things for kids. [Spinal Chord](https://www.spinalchord.com) - Firhill Sports Center. Prob the cheaper option compared to the others and offers to learn all equipment in each class (as opposed to lessons being for one specific apparatus). [Alt Fitness](https://www.altfitness.co.uk/) - Cumberland street. Very inclusive and lovely staff. Their ceilings are super low and I love drops and crazy things so haven’t been here as much of late. They changed their membership options too but I do try to go whenever there are workshops. There is also a nice space in paisley but it can be a bit of a trek. • As someone who’s dads been dead for 6 years now, if someone reached out to tell me they’d found some old photos of him I’d be super grateful that they took the time and effort to get that back to his family. That is to say, I see where OP is coming from. Minted or not… that’s peoples memories and they may otherwise not know the film existed / was missing in the first palace. by PamVanDam (Sun 25th Jun 2023 10:34am)
  • Came here for this 🤣 by PamVanDam (Sun 8th Oct 2023 1:30am)
  • I second that, we’ve been struggling for the last week to get Ubers and any time we cancel and then check again it’s almost always doubled in price. by PamVanDam (Sat 9th Dec 2023 9:39am)
  • I was going to a friends house on the Saturday of Halloween weekend. It’s like a 20ish min drive and as I am always the designated driver I’d fancied getting a taxi and having some fizz with some pals that had flown over for the occasion. First request was £13 (not great, I can get to town for cheaper but fine). 10 mins goes by and I cancel … next request was £26… 15 mins of spinning so I cancel …. Final check … £55?!?!?! Needless to say, I just drove there and pretty much try to avoid Uber as much as I can by PamVanDam (Sat 9th Dec 2023 1:13pm)
  • Have you considered Aerial? Depending on how far you go with it … those drops and dynamic moves from height can get quite extreme. Good few places in Glasgow offer classes. by PamVanDam (Sat 9th Dec 2023 1:18pm)
