  • Looks like need for speed by Papa_is_Here_ (Tue 7th Dec 2021 2:55pm)
  • There's a really cute wee kebab shop called best kebab just by Buchanan galleries. If you enjoy the finer things I'd recommend stopping by there by Papa_is_Here_ (Sat 30th Jul 2022 2:43pm)
  • Deliveroo support is an absolute shambles to be honest. If police get involved they might do something but otherwise they are useless by Papa_is_Here_ (Wed 3rd Aug 2022 8:12am)
  • The amount of new electric cyclists plaguing the pavements is dreadful, it's also much slower. Honestly I think most people who cycle on the pavement are just too scared to cycle on the road by Papa_is_Here_ (Sun 21st Aug 2022 7:22pm)
  • I'm a 1 shite a day kinda guy so never had this issue. But going for a piss I often need to reject alot of offers just so that I can pick up from a restaurant that has a loo. by Papa_is_Here_ (Sun 21st Aug 2022 7:27pm)
  • There's been some that take about 20+ mins or so. The pay does slightly scale up for the distance but normally it's not worth it taking you away from all the restaurants. by Papa_is_Here_ (Sun 21st Aug 2022 7:38pm)
  • Before covid, never. During and after covid, I'd probably say about 15% of people tip. Much better than I'd expected by Papa_is_Here_ (Sun 21st Aug 2022 7:41pm)
  • Yeah, we get 100% of the tips. The "delivery fees" on the apps are complete shite though by Papa_is_Here_ (Sun 21st Aug 2022 7:48pm)
  • Not seen anything too bad, definitely interrupted a few naked wrestling sessions though. by Papa_is_Here_ (Sun 21st Aug 2022 7:52pm)
  • Haha not exactly. Most of the bags are sealed. I have had a couple orders which they give the wrong address, so I can't deliver it to then, which I then "dispose of" in my stomach shortly afterwards. by Papa_is_Here_ (Sun 21st Aug 2022 7:50pm)
  • Recently it's been getting worse and worse from the amount of cyclists they're hiring. On a good day, £12PH. On a bad day, £6PH. Per week I'd normally make about £150 by Papa_is_Here_ (Sun 21st Aug 2022 8:01pm)
  • When it's really quiet I will turn on both Deliveroo and Uber eats, accept the first one then go offline on the other, rinse and repeat. I would never pick up 2 order from different apps at the same time, which some people do. The biggest scam is people on cars saying on the app they use a bike, when in reality they use a car, and they get all the short orders. If you notice this then report them please! by Papa_is_Here_ (Sun 21st Aug 2022 8:15pm)
  • Do we fuck haha by Papa_is_Here_ (Sun 21st Aug 2022 8:21pm)
  • No, although I lock it up anytime I go to pick up an order. I have had a bike torch and a bag stolen off of it, on different occasions by Papa_is_Here_ (Sun 21st Aug 2022 8:20pm)
  • Honestly such dafties risking their lives to get an order delivered faster. Recently on Deliveroo they added a timer to the order - which is normally impossible to hit because of traffic lights. by Papa_is_Here_ (Sun 21st Aug 2022 8:25pm)
  • I've never seen anything like this happening on the roads. If you ever get cold food just report it and you should get a refund by Papa_is_Here_ (Sun 21st Aug 2022 8:49pm)
  • There are alot of cycle paths in the West end that make for nice cycles, near the canal etc. Doing Deliveroo alot has made me more comfortable with the roads in Glasgow, just give it time and you'll get more comfortable with it. No harm on cycling on the pavements if no one else is there! Very early mornings the roads are dead which is nice! by Papa_is_Here_ (Sun 21st Aug 2022 8:48pm)
  • I solely worked on Uber eats before covid. Maybe Uber eats customers tip less than Deliveroo too? Could have just been my experience too by Papa_is_Here_ (Sun 21st Aug 2022 8:45pm)
  • Nothing through the apps. They give you some general safety tutorial videos but nothing official. by Papa_is_Here_ (Sun 21st Aug 2022 10:13pm)
  • Probably 15. It's hard to do more than 4 hours In 1 shift by Papa_is_Here_ (Sun 21st Aug 2022 10:13pm)
  • You don't know anyone else when you start. You might chat to a few folk while waiting for orders though by Papa_is_Here_ (Sun 21st Aug 2022 10:11pm)
  • Every normal cyclist hates the shitty cyclists just as much as everyone else, if not more as they give us all a bad rep. I've personally never had any road rage at me, which is probably because I don't cycle like a dick. by Papa_is_Here_ (Sun 21st Aug 2022 10:18pm)
  • No. We don't care about the size of the order, the lighter the better IMO cos it's easier to carry. Drinks are an absolute nightmare from McDonalds because they are so prone to spilling by Papa_is_Here_ (Sun 21st Aug 2022 10:15pm)
  • I normally tend to avoid going to the east side and south of the Clyde as much as possible because there are barely any restaurants there and you'd need to cycle back. But I don't tend to avoid any places otherwise. by Papa_is_Here_ (Sun 21st Aug 2022 10:23pm)
  • Barely anyone pre tips, I've never even seen anyone pre tipping before so no. by Papa_is_Here_ (Sun 21st Aug 2022 10:21pm)
  • Yes, we get 100% of the tips! by Papa_is_Here_ (Sun 21st Aug 2022 10:20pm)
  • That's the exact reason I did it, alongside uni having such a flexible schedule is nice. I actually lost alot of Weight whilst doing Deliveroo without noticing, it is a good way to get miles in on your bike for sure by Papa_is_Here_ (Sun 21st Aug 2022 10:19pm)
  • If you get alot of reports then Deliveroo will flag you up, and if it keeps going they will ban you. With physical stuff with this, I'm sure Deliveroo would work with the police as much as they can. Workers are super expendable so they don't care to sack the bad ones by Papa_is_Here_ (Sun 21st Aug 2022 10:28pm)
  • Nah, the driver will have picked up everything. It was Asda that fucked it. If the driver would have kept it or wouldn't have taken the full order the app would have thought it'd have been delivered. by Papa_is_Here_ (Sun 21st Aug 2022 10:25pm)
  • Unfortunately I've only ever had 2 KFC meals, so nothing to brag about haha by Papa_is_Here_ (Sun 21st Aug 2022 10:31pm)
  • Pretty sure all delivery apps have peaked during covid and are all trending downwards. I'd imagine so though! by Papa_is_Here_ (Sun 21st Aug 2022 10:30pm)
  • You'll probably be on a waiting list for like 6 months. They have overhired to fuck. by Papa_is_Here_ (Sun 21st Aug 2022 10:37pm)
  • 100% agree, if I cycle for leisure I go on the cycling friendly places. Cycling on the road is stressy af, thankfully the huge fuck off bags are quite easy to see for drivers by Papa_is_Here_ (Sun 21st Aug 2022 10:35pm)
  • If you are contemplating it, you should apply ASAP (probably Deliveroo as they're free) because there's a ridiculous waiting list (6+ months). It's easily a vary male dominant gig, but I've seen a few women cycling around delivering. by Papa_is_Here_ (Mon 22nd Aug 2022 7:18am)
  • It's very likely KFC. Just report the items that are missing and you'll get a refund every time. Since they seal the bags shut, we can't double check and see if everything is there by Papa_is_Here_ (Mon 22nd Aug 2022 7:23am)
  • Nope, but if you make under £12.5k a year ish then you won't need to pay tax which is nice by Papa_is_Here_ (Mon 22nd Aug 2022 7:20am)
  • The tips through the app are 100% ours, so I don't have a preference! by Papa_is_Here_ (Mon 22nd Aug 2022 7:25am)
  • Nope not at all. You could do 0 deliveries for 6 months and they wouldn't care. It's the perfect way to do exactly that. If you're thinking about it, apply for Deliveroo ASAP as the waiting list is so big right now. by Papa_is_Here_ (Mon 22nd Aug 2022 7:33am)
  • You need to cycle to the address first, and then go through the process of talking to Deliveroo to discard the food. It's definitely a thing, and has gone through my mind a few times. If people have a history of wrong deliveries and their customers reporting them, then they will get banned by Papa_is_Here_ (Mon 22nd Aug 2022 7:31am)
  • More or less. If I can make more money by avoiding certain places then I will! Unless it's very quiet then I'll tend to accept every order. by Papa_is_Here_ (Mon 22nd Aug 2022 9:23am)
  • I averaged about £10PH not including tips. by Papa_is_Here_ (Mon 22nd Aug 2022 9:25am)
  • Haha no never had any offers for anything! by Papa_is_Here_ (Mon 22nd Aug 2022 9:25am)
  • Uber eats support is dreadful for customers and drivers/cyclists. Some options will give you an instant refund (items missing), some are a bit more of a pain in the ass. by Papa_is_Here_ (Mon 22nd Aug 2022 9:38am)
  • They both have their perks. At this point of time they are both as good as eachother. Never used just eat, but I'm pretty sure it's a bit different as you need to select slots to work in (I could be wrong). Deliveroo give a really good waterproof jacket for free when signing up, and that's why you probably see do many folk wearing it. Not really an item but you normally get paid extra when it's really shit weather as less people cycle. I've seen them too! I'm a gloves man, but I'm sure just a wee Amazon search and you'll be set. by Papa_is_Here_ (Mon 22nd Aug 2022 9:41am)
  • I don't really expect tips, especially from students. I'm happy when I get a tip, any amount by Papa_is_Here_ (Mon 22nd Aug 2022 2:36pm)
  • If this year I hadn't been searching on both Deliveroo and Uber eats to get double to offers, it would have been dreadful. Like 1 order per hour kinda deal, it's rough af. by Papa_is_Here_ (Mon 22nd Aug 2022 3:04pm)
  • Not sure. We can contact the customer through the app so that's how it should be done. My guess is some are too lazy to phone the customers to get them to buzz the door so instead they just buzz everyone until one opens. by Papa_is_Here_ (Mon 22nd Aug 2022 3:02pm)
  • Yeah once we accept the order we can see if you have tipped! Tips are great though and each tip is super appreciated by every cyclist by Papa_is_Here_ (Mon 22nd Aug 2022 3:01pm)
  • No, we get paid more for anything over a mile. If it's quite far its normally given to a car by Papa_is_Here_ (Mon 22nd Aug 2022 3:19pm)
  • No I think it is normally pally around all the other cyclists, or atleast I seem to think so. You can barely tell who is new, there are so many cyclist. I feel like all the cyclists with the fat tyres are the worst of the cyclists, so yes haha by Papa_is_Here_ (Mon 22nd Aug 2022 5:31pm)
  • Probably £4 on average per delivery. by Papa_is_Here_ (Mon 22nd Aug 2022 8:31pm)
  • Haha yeah, fell on a huge patch of black ice. Thankfully it was right when my shift started so had no food in my bag! by Papa_is_Here_ (Mon 22nd Aug 2022 8:42pm)
  • Not sure, varies alot. I'd say on average like every 15 orders I'll make £5 by Papa_is_Here_ (Mon 22nd Aug 2022 8:41pm)
  • The housing market is a wee bit fucked at the moment. Do you know anyone here? Word of mouth is probably gonna be better than websites by Papa_is_Here_ (Sat 3rd Dec 2022 9:34am)
