  • Nah, I'm not new. Been living in the west of Scotland for 27 years, just thought it might have been a Rangers event, rather than an orange walk. by Rab_Legend (Sat 18th Sep 2021 11:39am)
  • Was feeling good as well, battered out an 18 mile run into town, then had to walk upstream to high street station to get the train by Rab_Legend (Sat 18th Sep 2021 11:51am)

  • A Celtic or Rangers game if they can get tickets - especially in a big game (Europe, old firm, Celtic v Hearts, Rangers v Aberdeen, etc.) by Rab_Legend (Thu 2nd Jun 2022 6:44pm)
  • Aye I used to work in a rugby club - some of the worst people to serve drinks to, genuinely. They felt like they owned the place and always expected me to stay dead late to let them keep drinking. Any time there was a rugby club function they were as you described - getting fucking fuming over drinks taking more than 2 minutes even though we were constantly understaffed. by Rab_Legend (Fri 3rd Jun 2022 7:15am)
  • Nah by Rab_Legend (Fri 3rd Jun 2022 8:46am)
  • There's a guy down near the bottom of Buchanan who had (I presume) his weans busking with him pretending to play the music which was clear just coming out an MP3. by Rab_Legend (Sun 5th Jun 2022 1:08pm)
  • No chance, he's most likely starting at 6 ish by Rab_Legend (Wed 8th Jun 2022 7:34am)
  • Nah, just more underground leading into light rail further out of the city. Was in Copenhagen last year and was amazed by their metro. It's driverless, 24/7, cheap, and fast. Could literally connect all of Glasgow with a similar system. by Rab_Legend (Wed 8th Jun 2022 11:34pm)
  • I reckon if you can walk up it you've done a fair job. Running up I reckon sub a minute you're doing very well. by Rab_Legend (Fri 10th Jun 2022 2:52pm)
  • BRGR serves poutine, it's good. by Rab_Legend (Sat 11th Jun 2022 1:19pm)
  • I mean I'm Scottish, so I dunno if it's "authentic poutine" but it's tasty by Rab_Legend (Sat 11th Jun 2022 5:02pm)
  • Well because of the trains stopping at half 9 the other night, we had to pay £54 for a taxi back to Coatbridge. Usually it's far less. by Rab_Legend (Thu 16th Jun 2022 6:55am)
  • I used to get the 18, 21, and 6 regularly, and couldn't have told you where I was half the time in between where I got on and where I got off by Rab_Legend (Sun 19th Jun 2022 7:12pm)
  • I don't really remember too many in Scotland/UK in general who legitimately used the term "Chinese Virus" though that might just be the way the "algorithms" fed me content online, and due to my social circles. I don't think anyone will care if you wear a mask really. by Rab_Legend (Fri 24th Jun 2022 11:40am)
  • Midwinter minis on YouTube does painting guides for just weird schemes, so there's nothing holding you back. by Rab_Legend (Thu 30th Jun 2022 5:23pm)
  • I live in Coatbridge, and while there isn't a massive amount here, I have cheap housing with a regular 15-20 minutes train right into the city centre and access to some nice countryside/parks. There is also a 40/50 minute train journey to Edinburgh, and the Glasgow fort is a ten minute drive away. It's not quite as bad a shitehole as it seems. by Rab_Legend (Thu 28th Jul 2022 6:29pm)
  • I'd say a lot of the affordable areas within Glasgow are usually as much of a shitehole as Coatbridge by Rab_Legend (Thu 28th Jul 2022 9:21pm)
  • The train runs (in normal times) until like half 12, so if you're not clubbing you'd make the last train usually. If not (in normal times) a taxi back is about £15-20 by Rab_Legend (Thu 28th Jul 2022 9:20pm)
  • Was just in Edinburgh airport and it's pretty shite as well. Everything seemed to close at about 5, including the pubs. by Rab_Legend (Sat 30th Jul 2022 10:16am)
  • Of course. by Rab_Legend (Wed 24th Aug 2022 6:40am)
  • My wife is a teacher and she doesn't want to cross the pocket line, however the kids won't be in anyway so she'll be able to work from home. Also, she was saying she thinks they'll all picket outside council buildings rather than the schools. by Rab_Legend (Fri 2nd Sep 2022 10:00am)
  • Well she's a teacher, not a cleaner/canteen worker/support staff. So I don't know whether that would constitute crossing a picket. by Rab_Legend (Fri 2nd Sep 2022 4:45pm)
  • Does static sell Vallejo aye? by Rab_Legend (Fri 30th Sep 2022 4:08pm)

  • Never get annoyed at people for lack of talent. I do get annoyed at folk for lack of effort. If you're not at least trying then it fucks the game for everyone (and I'm not meaning like 100% effort). by Rab_Legend (Tue 11th Apr 2023 11:22pm)
