  • I dont think men are inherently bad, I think a lot of culture breeds unhealthy and misogynistic beliefs in men. A lot of men feel they are owed companionship from women and when they don't get it they become dangerous, hence the likes of elliot Rodgers among others. I think a big part of thus whole "male loneliness epidemic" ,BTW its not just men who are lonely but they're the only ones who seem to be getting thr focus, is due to the fact men are being forced to put more effort into attracting partners. Earlier generations women had much less opportunity and would straight up rejected from a lot of industries simply because they were women. That plus social attitudes meant it was pretty much be a housewife or else you were a failure. That plus the fact the economy was a lot better meant men found it a lot easier to find someone. The women would take care of the house and kids along with providing the emotional support of the family while the man worked. Nowadays we're a lot more equal, a women cam get a job buy a house etc. So she doesn't need a man. Thus a lot of men are struggling to meet these new standards. There's more to discuss but that's just some of my thoughts. by Red_Juice_ (Sun 1st Oct 2023 3:10pm)
