  • There’s definitely a boom just now, I’m looking to buy and after months of nothing properties are flying on, it’ll likely calm in a month or two. Every agent/solicitor/lawyer I’ve spoke to has too said ‘it’s gone mental’ by RhysR (Fri 10th Jul 2020 2:37pm)

  • I’m a big fan of working from home, the office does have its benefit but. I’ve seen some places in Glasgow say they’ll be working remotely forever, as it works for them. My work say it’ll be for the foreseeable future anyway, but I don’t think it’ll ever go back to full time office by RhysR (Tue 14th Jul 2020 7:46pm)
  • I live in Scotstoun. Feel free to DM any specific transport questions in future by RhysR (Wed 15th Jul 2020 4:19pm)
  • Rush hour isn’t ideal anywhere. But wouldn’t say it’s a particularly bad experience here. The expressway is busy during rush as expected. But I can drive home from town in rush hour within 30mins easy by RhysR (Wed 15th Jul 2020 4:38pm)
  • I’m flexible with work too, so get home from town within 10mins avoiding rush hour by RhysR (Wed 15th Jul 2020 4:54pm)
  • I’ve just bought a property in the west end. The estate agents rule of thumb they said was offer over price is 10% below the home report. And they’d expect 10% above the final sale. by RhysR (Thu 10th Sep 2020 12:58pm)
  • Could you not have stopped them instead of telling them on a website they’ll never see? by RhysR (Sun 27th Sep 2020 11:39pm)
  • First I knew of that huge amazing building. What’s in its place now? Shame it’s gone by RhysR (Sat 3rd Oct 2020 2:20pm)
  • What’s the point in this subreddit of not to ask locals about Glasgow related stuff? by RhysR (Fri 9th Oct 2020 6:11pm)
  • I recently bought a flat in the west end. The market felt just as busy as ever. So don’t think I got it cheaper because of covid, but there was tax cuts which saved me about £4k by RhysR (Sun 1st Nov 2020 4:04pm)
  • My pal has been filming a Bollywood movie there. Also believe there is now a permanent film studio inside by RhysR (Sat 13th Feb 2021 8:54pm)
