  • They're building a new hotel above it. I bet they've hit something that's caused the smell. Its only been like that for a few months now. There were some folk outside the shop working on something and the smell outside the shop has gone. But you still get a faint whiff of it as you reach the pawn brokers next door. by RoscoNYG (Sun 2nd Jun 2019 10:16pm)

  • If you have a PC/laptop you can get the Xbox app and then buy gamepass. Lots of PC games and some Xbox games that are cross-platform with PC and Xbox. Been having a whale of a time with sea of thieves and friends. by RoscoNYG (Mon 23rd Mar 2020 11:03am)
  • I thought home owners didn't need to pay their mortgage for three months? So shouldn't that mean landlords should not accept rent? Or have I misread that? by RoscoNYG (Wed 25th Mar 2020 2:35pm)
  • I studied at UWS from 2007-2011. I think my class was the first ever batch to do the full 4 years of the filmmaking course. It was ok. You would be better off using those 4 years working as a runner for tv/film as you don't get any usable industry experience at all. The film theory side of the degree was interesting. There wasn't much learning to be done with theory that you could apply to the practical aspect (I.e cinematography). But the general film history you learnt was good. Gillian and Andrew were two great lecturers in that field in my opinion. As for marking, it truly was hit or miss. Lots of my peers were marked down for short films that we're amazing, but weren't enjoyed by lecturers due to either over use of swearing or an over saturated genre. To be honest, it must be tough watching hundreds of "horror" films that are shot in the same woods. Overall, not a particularly great experience. Luckily I managed to get work within the industry. And from day one that's when I realised that certain lecturers that used their "experience" to teach us weren't as good as they made out to be. I got a lot of laughs from seasoned professionals when I mentioned some names and what they said they'd done. I would highly look at the SAE. A friend of mine is currently going through it and he says its fantastic. by RoscoNYG (Thu 2nd Apr 2020 4:48pm)

  • None of my friends and family are in Glasgow, but luckily a mate was allowed from his isolation to see me outside on his way to an appointment. Absolutely loved it. I didn't realise how much this had a toll on me until i saw him cause my girlfriend was able to see all her family and friends outside and I was slowly feeling resentful and jealous. Feeling good now. by RoscoNYG (Fri 19th Jun 2020 8:38pm)
  • Not doing too great mentally or physically today. My job is absolute shite since the pub/restaurant was allowed to open. Bare bones kitchen staff, but double the customers. Due to health reasons I can't do the usual 50-60+ hour working week that's expected of us, so the rest of the team are getting pissed off at me as they have to do those hours instead. I'm not even doing the job I was suppoosed to be doing either due to staff cuts, instead I've been "demoted" for the forseeable future. Trying to say to myself that leaving the job will be a lot worse in this climate without one lined up, but it's difficult to keep that thinking with how much the company is shafting us. Anyone got some advice on how to keep on going without doing anything stupid? by RoscoNYG (Fri 7th Aug 2020 1:25pm)
  • Disabled people can get a sunflower lanyard that states they can't wear a mask due to their disability. All shops recognise and accept this. All my disabled friends and family members were contacted about this. So I don't see why a disabled person won't wear one. It should be the same as having a disabled parking badge. by RoscoNYG (Thu 15th Oct 2020 3:13pm)

  • Thanks for the response. I think I'll definitely pull my application and look for an IT job that isn't with a company that deals with danger lol. Luckily I'm currently employed so this application was spur of the moment. Thanks again for the response. by RoscoNYG (Tue 24th Nov 2020 3:57pm)
  • I don't understand why you haven't been getting your shopping delivered if you're that worried? Or is online delivery been called off / not viable? by RoscoNYG (Thu 14th Jan 2021 2:45pm)
  • Any tips on how to dry out a saturated carpet with things around the house? I was house-sitting for my GF and her bedroom ceiling collapsed last night due to that heavy rainstorm. Absolute wankers the housing association are. For 5 years a load of residents have been pleading to get the block of flats gutters cleaned, and they keep refusing to do so, resulting in multiple water damage call outs to this block whenever it rains heavy. by RoscoNYG (Sat 3rd Jul 2021 9:44am)
  • I would be up for this. I used to play over 15 years ago, but due to age and concussions I can't play contact. I've been looking at going down the coaching route (but covid delayed that), so I would be happy to help either on or off the field by RoscoNYG (Thu 29th Jul 2021 1:48pm)
  • I live in one of the high rises and have had no issues. Although the high rise I'm in is on the side of the Wyndford nearer the police station and Maryhill Road. I've found that side of the Wyndford to be quieter with more elderly and families around. The area itself isn't as bad as people have been saying. If you're unsure, always have a walk around an area before getting a flat. That'll give you feel for the place. by RoscoNYG (Wed 4th Aug 2021 11:14am)
  • Also have a look at Glenfinnan Road if that gets offered. Number 80 is completely fine and full of elderly and families. No trouble at all. It's on the side closest to Maryhill Road and the police station by RoscoNYG (Wed 4th Aug 2021 11:16am)
  • I'm in the Maryhill area and also recently got back into the game via Kill Team. I over estimated the enthusiasm from friends and I have a load of kill teams and terrain etc that's sitting unused. Would love to get a game in if you're still looking! by RoscoNYG (Mon 30th May 2022 3:37pm)
