  • I’ve lived on Wilson street for just under 4 years (just above the BLONDE hairdressers). It’s great living in the city but people treat it like shit, when they come in for nights out because they don’t live here they’ll just litter, smash glass, ring buzzers at 3 am because it’s ‘funny’. We have a dog and it’s great but very limited to where we can take him. Majority of the flats in the building are BnB’s and the bin area is always an absolute trash pile because people just keep leaving bags at the door like tramped. It’s great living in the city and being so close to everything but I think it depends if you get lucky and live in a nice building or not. by Rss1176 (Thu 4th Aug 2022 1:53pm)
  • Been looking at The Gym Group on Jamaica street just trying to mentally debate if it’s worth £17 / month by Rss1176 (Fri 5th Aug 2022 10:45pm)
  • I park in Duke street, to answer your question yes you would need to get a new ticket each time, but say you drive in at 9am and leave at 11am, you’d only pay £2 (ish). Don’t know the exact pricing. It’s not like an all day ticket or anything you just pay when you want to leave and it charges you for how long you’ve been there. They stopped the student pass thing due to covid and just made it £5 every 24 hours. by Rss1176 (Mon 8th Aug 2022 1:22pm)
  • I’m a 5th year student at strath, if you contact the uni (accommodations/halls department or wellbeing) they can put you in what they call emergency accommodation, it’s literally for this exact situation I had 2 friends who did it during third year. They’ll put you in one of the empty halls flats (they keep some spare to use as emergency accom). Hopefully you find somewhere soon, have a look at Clydebank for flats it’s a 20min train journey but there is always flats up for rent for your budget. • The ultimate is Lucky Panda in dalmuir, but it’s a bit far out from the city centre, I’d say a second would be the Quay China Garden by Rss1176 (Sat 22nd Oct 2022 11:09pm)
