  • I think it’s a placeholder venue that promoter (Slay) uses. I think they hold off booking a definite venue until they are aware of ticket numbers. You should receive details a few days beforehand of exactly where the event is. I’ve been to a few of their shows before and the venues have included Audio, Cathouse and SWG3. by S255 (Mon 29th Apr 2019 10:45pm)
  • Honestly thought I’d farted earlier and the smell was just lingering for ages. So glad to read this. by S255 (Mon 10th Jun 2019 10:52pm)
  • That was quick, these are sold now. Sorry! by S255 (Mon 14th Oct 2019 9:13am)
  • I’ve heard that they are aiming to use it as a legitimate gig venue but they’re having problems securing a 14+ license so the opening is being delayed month to month until they have said license. by S255 (Mon 28th Oct 2019 10:16pm)
  • HMV in Argyle Street allow you to put posters up on their staircase free of charge. by S255 (Tue 29th Oct 2019 9:08am)
  • Another music venue closing on Sauchiehall Street isn’t a good news story. Pretty sure that leaves The Garage as the only sizeable venue in the city centre? It does make me wonder if Academy Music Group would consider taking over the day-to-day running of the building? They obviously lost ABC due to the fire and I know they are now having to book bands into O2 Academy who seriously struggle to fill it. by S255 (Sun 3rd Nov 2019 10:15pm)
  • I think it is planned to be a venue eventually but they are struggling to get a 14+ license (because there are more hurdles than a standard 18+ once). by S255 (Fri 14th Feb 2020 10:38am)
  • Who were the 3% of people who went to a ‘Save the Egyptian Halls’ event who didn’t believe they should be restored?! by S255 (Tue 25th Feb 2020 2:12pm)
  • Slay is open now and has been for a year or so. Had a few shows in there and it’s a decent venue. No draft beer is the only complaint! by S255 (Wed 16th Mar 2022 2:38pm)
  • It was £22.50 but happy to pass it on. Would rather see it used than it go to waste. by S255 (Wed 16th Mar 2022 2:46pm)
  • I’m a beer drinker so stuck to cans/bottles when I went because no draught (Peroni £4, Tennents £3 IIRC?). I have friends who had cocktails (if you buy a Bingo Wigs ticket in advance, you get a free cocktail) and they didn’t complain about it? by S255 (Wed 16th Mar 2022 4:24pm)
  • I’ve had zero notification that the date or venue for this gig has changed. Found out via a promoted social media advert. by S255 (Tue 26th Apr 2022 3:03pm)
  • As a late 20s individual who has been to TRNSMT a few times, it’s a great day out. Yes - it can attract a young crowd who make shows of themselves en route to the festival but they tend to stay at the Dance stages and are usually away home drunk by 7pm or so. It’s great vibes and there will usually be busy bars afterwards. by S255 (Tue 17th May 2022 1:54pm)
  • I had tickets to see TLC at Junction 1 next weekend. It appears to have moved to the following weekend and changed venue to the O2 Academy. No word from the promoters on the change, found out via a sponsored Facebook advert. by S255 (Tue 7th Jun 2022 1:44pm)
  • Ticketmaster listing the event as Cancelled with no rescheduling. Skiddle (the ticketing partner that Junction 1 directed you to) are refusing refunds until a new date is confirmed. So basically if you booked direct rather than through Ticketmaster, your money is being held to ransom. by S255 (Thu 23rd Jun 2022 3:55pm)
  • Yeah, I’m past that date unfortunately. Bought them back in December when they first went on sale (and J1 were promising 2 stages with “very special guests”). by S255 (Thu 23rd Jun 2022 4:30pm)
  • Great shout, have started the process now as the event is within the timescale. Thanks. by S255 (Thu 23rd Jun 2022 8:54pm)
  • UPDATE: I did a charge back request on my card and I’ve already had the money returned. Thanks all for your advice. After the 90min beer queues at Playground Festival last year and now this, I’ll be avoiding Traynor in future! by S255 (Fri 24th Jun 2022 12:44pm)
  • I think there is more to it than just an exhibition of stencils. The website states that “the show contains tight spaces, fragile items and disorientating light effects” and that “there are restricted environments that require you to stay in the moment and keep moving”. by S255 (Thu 15th Jun 2023 12:26pm)
