  • In the drives, lost internet about 11pm last night. Called EE noon today, they said there was an open reach issue and it would be fixed 7am tomorrow. They offered me 10gb data in the meantime, which doesn’t help much as everyone’s hot spotting on 4G due to the outage so the speed is about 1~2 Mbps. Can’t wait for virgin media to set up shop here - i know they’ve got their own shite, but at least they’re not subject to BT’s outages by SimplyFed (Mon 22nd Feb 2021 1:22pm)

  • The boxes are full of bricks too so we haven’t managed to get around, scared to move them in case anything’s being supported in the chimney cavity. It’s a third floor flat, so the idea that bringing up all these bricks was the easiest solution to something is weird by SimplyFed (Thu 6th Jan 2022 6:49pm)

  • I guess correspondence with the factor could be a good first move to see what permissions are needed on their end (and regarding other occupants could be I only take a proportional area of the south-facing section of the roof, if such a thing is allowed) Regarding new owners, there are panels installed on rails so they can be taken down easily and we'd take them with us, or leave them for the right offer I suppose. by SimplyFed (Tue 22nd Mar 2022 2:27pm)
  • Currently there’s roof access from the attic that has been used for repairs as is. But that’s likely to be a logistical consideration for the installer rather than myself by SimplyFed (Wed 23rd Mar 2022 12:09pm)
