  • Thanks a lot for mentioning this. I'm American but my husband is actually from India & our kids look Indian also. We will be staying with my brother-in-law there (he is settled there also) but my BIL doesn't go out much and really spends much of his time working. I think my husband will rely mostly on me to do the planning. Please feel free to let me know your fave restaurants around the city, we'll have to check some of those out. by SitaBird (Thu 15th Sep 2022 4:44pm)
  • I think it's near Festival Park but I have to double check. If you know anything about that area let me know...! by SitaBird (Thu 15th Sep 2022 4:47pm)
  • Thanks for all this. I am from a Northern state on the 42nd latitude which is one of the coldest & darkest in winter but I believe Glasgow at the 55th latitude gets even less sunlight during the day. Does it ever get snowy there, or just mostly rain? by SitaBird (Thu 15th Sep 2022 4:51pm)
  • How is road travel in winter? Here in Michigan the roads can be pretty treacherous in winter due to ice & snow, but not sure what it's like in Glasgow. Do you recommend using more public transit? Also, how active are the streets in winter there? We live in Michigan close to Canada where there is an active "winter life" and you'll see lots of people out just enjoying the cold, building snowmen, going holiday shopping, walking around town to see the holiday lights, etc. but not sure what it's like in other places. by SitaBird (Thu 15th Sep 2022 4:55pm)

  • Lol. I was assuming that they would be the clients there to take advantage of hidden victims. by SitaBird (Wed 26th Oct 2022 7:29pm)
  • I'm a former wildlife conservation professional and I can tell ya there are lots of different places to see wildlife other than in the wild. Sanctuaries, nature centers, rehabilitation clinics, universities, museums, zoos, preserves, etc. If you were coming to the US and want to see a bald eagle, I can tell you at least 3 places to see them in captivity within an hour of my house. Just tryin to get a feel for where some kids can see a hedgehog. 😀 by SitaBird (Tue 15th Nov 2022 12:25pm)

  • I've heard it's a ripoff. Older reviews said they were offered a 45 minute skate time, but that included the lines to queue, so some of the people got only literally 10-20 minutes actually on the ice. And then everything costs extra -- even the lockers to store your stuff, the "skate assist" penguins, and so on. And the toddler rink is apparently super small, and it's not clear if adults can wear their skates on it? I guess it LOOKS really cool but is a depressing money sink for many people. I'm just going off the TripAdvisor & Google reviews I've read, though. I would be weary. by SitaBird (Fri 9th Dec 2022 10:11pm)
