  • That sounds like a good day! Can I come? by SluppyB (Thu 24th Jan 2019 9:16pm)
  • This is absolutely sickening. He's apparently going to dental school? How could be possibly be allowed anywhere near anything connected with healthcare or people in a vulnerable position. Sack that. What an absolute disgrace. by SluppyB (Wed 30th Jan 2019 9:14am)
  • Who was that?! by SluppyB (Thu 7th Feb 2019 6:42pm)
  • Wow. I'm afraid I don't know anything as I hadn't heard of this before, but it sounds like an interesting project. Good luck with your investigations! by SluppyB (Wed 13th Mar 2019 7:15am)
  • I've heard Dumpling Monkey in the West End is great from veggie and non-veggie friends. by SluppyB (Thu 14th Mar 2019 4:01am)
  • Honestly I dont think there is. I think we just have to accept it at this point, tragic as it is. by SluppyB (Sat 6th Apr 2019 1:17pm)
  • A few years ago when I moved to my current home the trains were every 15 mins to town and relatively reliable. Then they got upgraded and they're every 30 mins and are cancelled once or twice a week. Hmm! by SluppyB (Sat 6th Apr 2019 2:29pm)
  • Definitely agree with this. I did it for a long time and it was absolutely exhausting. For the short term it's an okay solution, but definitely not for long term. by SluppyB (Tue 9th Apr 2019 11:30am)
  • Shoosh indeed!!! We like our park quiet and ned free thank you. by SluppyB (Sat 20th Apr 2019 11:58pm)
  • I thought collection every two weeks was standard now with Glasgow city council. Ours alternates so that the blue bins get emptied one week, green the next, and so on. I dont like it either but I thought that was just "how it is" now. by SluppyB (Sun 19th May 2019 8:47pm)
  • Sounds right. What a pain :( by SluppyB (Sun 19th May 2019 8:50pm)
  • I read somewhere that all of the Eat places are turning into veggie Prets! by SluppyB (Sat 22nd Jun 2019 11:45am)
  • I haven't been on the sleeper myself, but people I know who have have said they dont get any sleep even if they do get a bed. A seat would be just like the overnight bus in terms of getting sleep. by SluppyB (Tue 9th Jul 2019 6:11pm)
  • That sounds great. Do you need to remove it and add it back each time you close or open the window? Flies and moths are really bad at mine and I know its pathetic but I'm terrified of them, so I just avoid opening the windows. This week has not been pleasant... by SluppyB (Thu 25th Jul 2019 5:50pm)
  • Thank you! by SluppyB (Thu 25th Jul 2019 7:49pm)

  • How beautifully put! Thank you :) by SluppyB (Fri 26th Jul 2019 10:21am)
  • Was there any update on this? I hope whoever it was is okay. by SluppyB (Mon 29th Jul 2019 9:28pm)
  • Aye it's stupidly expensive but it's quite tasty. Hopefully once the novelty wears off it'll come down. Sainsbos have the big bars for £3.50, wee bars for £1.35. I thought that was bad till I saw Scribbler had the same big bars for a fiver. Ooft. by SluppyB (Wed 14th Aug 2019 8:10pm)
  • Yes, you will get the SAAS bursary payment on the date they give on the letter, which is the date that the university/college gives them as the start of term. Source: used to work there. by SluppyB (Sat 14th Sep 2019 8:06pm)
  • You're welcome! Good luck with your course. by SluppyB (Sat 14th Sep 2019 8:21pm)
  • Seconded for a Bombay Blues buffet! Yum. by SluppyB (Fri 4th Oct 2019 3:25am)
  • Even if there's no egg (madness, I know) logic dictates that the sturdier item should go on the bottom. What kind of madman puts the scone first?? by SluppyB (Sun 6th Oct 2019 5:16pm)
  • I dont know why they say that to be honest. Last winter I had a cough for 3-4 months and was absolutely miserable, in loads of pain, no sleep. Doctor kept telling me to try different over the counter cough medicines. Pharmacist couldn't believe it. by SluppyB (Tue 8th Oct 2019 9:30pm)
  • Also the people who sit in the middle seat of the 3, and look outraged when you sit next to them. by SluppyB (Fri 11th Oct 2019 11:11am)
  • It's so cringey. It just seems really unprofessional, although I dont know why that surprises me... by SluppyB (Sat 26th Oct 2019 10:52am)
  • I did something in primary school that sounds like it. I don't remember the fire part, but I remember going into a room and there being bowls of M&Ms and drinks already poured out and everyone dove in to help themselves. Me (the square, obviously) hung back because y'know... don't take stuff from strangers. I remember being annoyed because we were told off as a group for diving in lol. by SluppyB (Sun 8th Dec 2019 8:14pm)
  • Pretty sure it's the latter. by SluppyB (Wed 18th Dec 2019 7:38pm)
  • I do the same and it usually works, except for one time when the person called after me "oh, you dont care about helping dying children?" Which was just ridiculously uncalled for... by SluppyB (Wed 15th Jan 2020 7:17pm)
  • Not too long, maybe 2 or 3 years? by SluppyB (Wed 15th Jan 2020 9:44pm)
  • Oh dear. Thanks for that! by SluppyB (Fri 8th May 2020 9:45am)
  • Thanks! by SluppyB (Fri 8th May 2020 10:25am)
  • Aww, thanks! by SluppyB (Fri 8th May 2020 10:30am)
  • That's ridiculous, I cant believe no one will do anything about it! I hope you get to move soon, good luck to your partner with the job hunt. by SluppyB (Sat 9th May 2020 9:34am)
  • I used to live walking distance to (a different) cineworld and it was great! by SluppyB (Sat 9th May 2020 10:31pm)
  • I took lessons through Glasgow Club at Tollcross a couple of years ago, and they were fantastic. At first I wanted one on one lessons, but the person who signed me up told me to try the class instead as there were only a few students in each so you got plenty of one on one time with the instructor anyway. She was totally right and it was great. Would def recommend. by SluppyB (Tue 28th Jul 2020 3:42am)
  • What?! Even Scotrail for all their flaws have (partially) refunded season tickets. That really sucks, I'm sorry. by SluppyB (Fri 7th Aug 2020 8:25pm)
  • That is the saddest little pie I've ever seen! by SluppyB (Wed 19th Aug 2020 9:29pm)
  • Why is it that GCC are able to decide not to accept things like yoghurt pots? It feels so silly to me that I have to chuck things like this in my green bin. Is there any kind of solution to this? Maybe if they actually let us put this kind of thing in the blue bin, they could get away with reducing the pickups. by SluppyB (Sat 30th Jan 2021 12:05pm)
  • Thats really poor on their part. I think (could be wrong) that recycling in England is pretty decent (no yoghurt pot issues!) You would think if they can manage it, GCC could at least make a semi decent attempt at it. by SluppyB (Sat 30th Jan 2021 12:13pm)
  • The limitations on what can go into the blue recycling bins. They can't encourage use of blue over green if many basic recyclables can't be put in the blue bin. by SluppyB (Sat 20th Mar 2021 8:37am)
  • Can confirm. Just spent 1.5 hours on hold to be told this. by SluppyB (Mon 24th May 2021 9:34am)
  • Was it Hope? I suspect she's had a lot of these calls this morning, poor thing. by SluppyB (Mon 24th May 2021 10:06am)
  • Someone I know has just been and said its absolutely mobbed, no one is wearing masks and they're not asking for proof of negative tests at the entrance like they said they would. They left after 5 mins. I'd suggest giving it a miss... by SluppyB (Fri 24th Dec 2021 5:19pm)
