  • In my personal experience, talking to neighbours has been a hit and miss for me and it sounds like OP isn't the confrontational type. Neither am I unless I really push myself coz the process is terrifying (being a small woman). Once had an upstairs neighbour who would blast nightcore music every now and then. Went up one time and asked him to turn it down and he just stopped it outright and apologised, was really friendly. Went great and I felt confident after it. 4 months later he moves out and this girl moves in and she starts having parties almost every two days lasting till 6 in the morning. Thought right here we go, so I go up to her door (at half 4 in the fuckin morning) and ask her to turn the music down and I'm immediatly met with this: "Naw pal, don't tell me wit tae dae in ma oan hoos. Ye liv in a flat ye should expect noise. Who d'yu hink you even ar?" She didn't even take a breath. "I haven't been able to sleep properly in days." "No ma problem pal." "You fuckin serious?" I know I shouldn't have swore at a drunk person but fuckin hell how entitled can someone get? "Aye I'm fuckin serious." "I'll be calling the police then." "Will ye aye? Fuckin dae it then! Cow!" And she slams the door. I was FUMING. But also shittin enough bricks to reconstruct the yellow brick road. Put me off talking to neighbours ever again. She got evicted after several complaints and a couple police incidents. Thank. Fuck. Couple moved in after a bit, they stomp, talk really loud and have loud sex, but least never blast music. I've thought about talking to them but I really can't be bothered now lol. by SnowdropHyena (Wed 10th Mar 2021 10:42pm)
  • DELETED Yeah, I thought that. It's more just a case of not wanting to be on someone's youtube intro or public facebook kind of thing, y'know? CCTV I'm good with if that's what you're meaning with cameras being scattered everywhere, that makes me feel a bit safer. It's more just being filmed by an actual stranger that's a bit weird, especially coz the drone was a bit close. It's seems like the roundabout way of filming someone with your phone if that makes sense. by SnowdropHyena (Sat 24th Apr 2021 12:26am)
  • I should've been a bit more clear in my post, my bad. It was overt, we were the only people there at the benches and the camera was angled down towards us. No other people around except for two guys at the entrance of the museum, both sitting in vans. The guy probably was just friendly and expected us to wave, he maybe gets that more often. I just would've liked to have been asked first. by SnowdropHyena (Sat 24th Apr 2021 8:49am)
